i've decided that goses are my least favourite kind of sours, not sure why they are the most common among western breweries
are they the easiest to brew or something?
I think straightforward goses are crazy good in the summer, but weird fruity ones are never good and normal ones don't hold up when it's cold
also I don't think goses are the most common in the US, I encounter a lot of more traditional sours than goses. at least in the midwest
I've always hated IPAs - they taste like soap to me - but loved sours. I see more people talking a lot about sours lately, I hope they take over IPAs as the new microbrew hipster thing and they become really popular. Theres never enough new sours to try.

Found a crowler of this at a hyvee in Brooklyn park. It was only 6$ so I gave it a try. Not a huge fan of lavender, but it honestly wasn't terrible. I wouldn't buy it again but it was better than I expected. Even my gf who hates lavender thought they did a decent job balancing it out.
I hope more breweries start selling crowlers at liquor stores. I like them
No pic, but I tried West Sixth Brewing new England style IPA called low beam and it blew my mind. now I can't stop drinking the New England style.

kek yes, i too love sours. they can sometimes taste like bile but overall they are fun and tasty and refreshing
one of my all time fave beers. put it in the freezer for a couple hours, it turns into a slushy. tasty

Honestly it's ridiculous how this average brewery milks the shit out of their prestige just because they were at the forefront of the market and an inivator a decade ago, they have some solid staples but they overcharge for everything not in regular rotation. All their beers are so one dimensional and overmalted. IPA's and DIPA's (other than 2 hearted) are always underhopped and sweet, stouts lack body, depth and are very singular note. Bells is just sugary normie swill with the exception of a handful if beers that all the girls and hipsters bring up when they talk about how much they love craft beer but they really just want something unoffending and easy to drink.
I think it's somehow a good thing that most breweries are begining to overcharge beers that are nothing out of the ordinary, because people will end up being fed up with paying this much and will start to brew their own everyday beers
the brewery market will crash and only the interesting/not overpriced ones will eventually survive
I really like their expedition stout and third coast old ale. Best brown is alright. Rarely buy their overpriced special release shit though. Why would I pay more than celebrator for a doppelbock that's not as good?

The local super hype ipa just came out a few days ago at a local brewery and people literally lined up for HOURS by the hundreds just to get a couple 8oz portions.
If that's not crazy, I don't know what else is.

For a long time, when I was more retarded, I wouldn't drink IPA because I didn't want to consume any liquid from India. Nothing against India, but their water sources and shitting in the streets.

Guinness Extra Stout really improved since they stopped brewing it in Canada and moved all operations back to Ireland. If you hated it a couple years ago, try it again.

What's your upper limit on what you're willing to pay for a single can/bottle of craft beer? Silver Peel and others are like £6+, I personally don't think it's worth paying that much for one beer.
i buy 2 of them for $.97 each. hence the $2 comment.

This was my first beer. I remember those early HS days with my awkward friends cuddled around a computer screen in someone's room with a movie on, downing blue moons and smoking weed late at night.
It really depends on the beer.
I once spent on $15 USD for a 750ml (25oz) bourbon-barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout that was a limited release by a good local brewery and it was worth every penny
