I want to make a resolution -- Go to Osaka Japan: Ichirian Ramen!

I could die tomorrow never knowing what it'd be like! Has anyone gone to confirm this!?

I went to that exact one, but it was a one hour wait so I went to the Ichiran down the road instead. The most underwhelming ramen I had in Japan, although I only got the standard broth and not the extra rich.

If EVER (which I will) go there. You either go big, or go home. I will have the richest broth, the spiciest noodles. Garlic, Salted Egg, Mushrooms, Pork/Steak, Green Onions!

>perfect noodles
>let me order 10x spice and mix it in and ruin it without even tasting what the broth is supposed to be

Mad that I watched even that far in.

Tourist trap. Most of the staff are Chinese at the dotonbori one. Much better non meme ramen literally a few minutes walk from there.

naw kid, if you're going to Osaka there is much better ramen. Ichiran is a tourist trap that has at best 6.5/10. If and when you got to Osaka you have to go to the ramen shop 塩豚骨 らー麺 雄 正雀店.

Here's the address
1 Chome-27-16 Shōjakuhonmachi, Settsu-shi, Ōsaka-fu 566-0024, Japan

Order the niku-miso ramen. This shop also does a second round of noodle for free, meaning you can get double the noodles for the price of 1 bowl. I ate at this place at least 1 once a week when I studied abroad in Osaka. would recommend.

Wouldn't mind trying them all~! While were on the subject, know any good Hot Pot Stops in Osaka? Or are there more prominent recommendations elsewhere?

These, seriously. When you go to japan look for the mom and pop hole in the wall places for the best ramen you can get. Some of the street food and other stuff I got was the best food possible when there.

Later in the video he goes back a second time and tries it without the spice.

Hot pot in the west in generalized to fit shabu-shabu, chinese hot pot, and nabe. Japan has 2 famous styles of hot pot the first being Shabu-shabu, a classic basic stock of usually kelp and some aromatics. Shabu Shabu is where you get your ingredients raw and dip them inside the broth for a couple seconds and then eat.

Secondly, nabe, in which the stock is much more heavy and usually will contain animal stock or classic Japanese dashi. While nabe is where you will find all of the ingredients put into the broth in a clay pot and boiled together.

Most restaurants do not specialize in nabe, but in and around Osaka station there are plenty of Shabu shabu restaurants. The one I went to is shabu shabu nishi umeda right near osaka station.

i would also recommend takoyaki in osaka as they are known for the best in Japan. There are a bunch of restaurants that look like this and they have the best takoyaki and okonomiyaki for the cheapest prices.

Make sure you eat some kushikatsu

Make sure you eat a katana, folded a thousand times and served hot.

Is that FFXV

Walked past it but never went in, japs fucking love queuing for nicer than average food so there was a ton of places with huge lines in dotonbori but i never had the patience, maybe this year i'll check it out if it's that good

One of the best things I tasted in japan other than some messy street okonomiyaki was simply a shellfish, still in the shell on top of a grill with some butter and pepper... was super cheap and you only got like one bite of food but hot fuckin damn! that was on one of the main dotonbori streets near the giant mechanical spidercrab

I went to one of those in Japan. It was ok. Waited in like like 10 minutes, wouldn’t wait for it again it’s just faking ramen.

Osaka had some of the best rough and dirty food i've had, lots of fat, salt, broth, herbs, spices, sauces, meats! but the more special/outstanding stuff I tasted was in Kyoto, delicately flavored and simple but exotic breakfast spreads with pickled roots, whitebait, grilled river fish, tofu, miso, umeboshi etc

Pic related, it's where I had a fanfuckingtastic breakfast, on that table on the left

My trip to Japan was like every other place I visit. I got drunk off my ass every day and night, fucked girls, and ate whatever was close when I was hungry. It was more fun than china, but not as fun as Thailand. I like the atmosphere of SEA better than the atmosphere of South America. I doubt I will go back to Japan tho. There’s lots of other places to go that are more fun and less expensive. Also the girls actually make those weird crying noises when you fuck them sometimes.

>going to Osaka
>for this
Why would you even get ramen in osaka? You'll find its much better in Tokyo.

Shut up, fag.

Shut up, fag.
