Yep. So many people seem to really struggle with basic time management. Getting up earlier means you don't get enough sleep? Go to bed earlier. It's not that complicated.
As others have said, first give yourself more time.
Second, prepare a big pot of something on the weekend and eat it all week. Something you like eating that you can just plate and toss in the microwave every morning during the week.
I tend not to eat large breakfasts, opting for something like a carnation instant breakfast or a fruit smoothie using my blender, then snack and eat more later on in the day.
Get a small pyrex dish the size of an english muffin, beat an egg in it, throw it in the microwave until it rises, top with cheese and ham, another 10 seconds to warm the ham and cheese place on english muffin. Quick McMuffins at home.

Instant oatmeal is fine for that amount of time. Overnight oats too, some to think of it. Buy some fruit/nuts/peanut butter to put in there to make it more filling. Or maybe boil some eggs and keep them in the fridge.

I mean I agree in this case but I can't stand when people's only solution is put more time into it. He could work 50hrs a day, drive 5 getting to and going from work, and spend another 5 getting ready and decompressing. Say he sleeps 50 he's a week and lives by himself with no other obligations he has 58 hrs of time left to do shit other than sleep and work. Your solution is to tell him to give ~5% of that up so he can eat one meal somewhat better. It's lazy and disingenuous advice
