Ok, so you say you're at the store shopping with your daughter. From there you go to PriceRite. While at PriceRite instead of shopping you play with your daughter and lose all sense of time. Somehow you suddenly realize that it's Saturday morning and leave PriceRite to go shopping somewhere else(?).
You're a quick shopper.
You arrive at the next location and blackout for no reason, but soon realize that it's 1PM and welfare check day.
The store is busy and you had to wait in line for longer than you probably should have.

Explained that he would be asked to drink by other people and that he should not do so, but if he does, he should call me or his mom at any time so we can get him home safe, then we sat on the porch and had a few beers so he knew what it was like to be drunk and how he would be impaired

Dude I dunno this happened a few times, and usually from an older person or what is probably a single mother. I use to work in a grocery store(long ago and not at that store) so the only thing I could possibly think is that they believe I am near the end of my shift, on break, or just got off work and trying to avoid customers.

My parents used to drink in the car on occasion. And of course they would have Miller lite every day when they got home from work. My dad can drink like a champion, yet I still don't even think I've ever seen him "drunk." My mom can get absolutely hammered though and it's not great. I turned out to be an alcoholic myself and I still love my parents.
