cant beat a blt for a lunch moment
Sandwich thread
>le reddit meat
I make a turkey sandwich with bacon and mayo on some toasted ciabatta bread for lunch most days. Super tasty for being so simple.
>ciabatta bread
Way to meme it up
Anyway, the BLT is definitely one of life's simple pleasures. It's nice to sit down to 2-3 of these bad boys after a long day.
adding that I would prefer the traditional lightly toasted wonder bread with just a bit of miracle whip, fan fried bacon, tomato, and good ol' iceberg lettuce.
No cheese or weird commie crap like OP
blt's are shit if tomatoes are not in season
>way to meme it up
What does that even mean? Regardless. I like it. If I'm out I'll just use wonderbread and put chips on my sandwich because I'm a man child.
thoughts on the BLAT?
club > blt
And fuck off with that blt with turkey bullshit.
I mean a club.
Isn't a BLT with turkey just a turkey sandwich?
Ignore the fag
True, which destroys the entire concept since lettuce is a cool season crop and tomatoes are grown in summer. It's a fake sandwich.
Yes, so it's not a club.
It just means that ciabatta bread is too bulky for a normal sandwich, and everyone just likes it because they like to say ciabatta bread and it's become a meme for communicating that you are a fancy faggot
destroying the housing market/10
"Fake sandwich?" Lettuce grows in 3-4 cycles per season and overlaps tomatoes so I think it's time to get a refund on your community college education.
Maybe real ciabatta is. I buy some cheap shit from Aldi that's perfect for a sandwich.
No it's still too thick in the middle and has the wrong texture for a blt. The wonder style white bread is the only correct answer here. Lightly toasted of course.
>not using preserved tomatoes in your BLT
It's like you know nothing.
Agree to disagree. At least you use the patrician brand of sliced bread.
Pretty great, I eat a BLT of some kind pretty much every day in the summer because my family grows tomatoes, and the avocado is a nice addition.
I prefer my avocado and bacon to be:
Avocado
mayo
chives
brie
bacon
sprouts
all on a croissant.
>sourdough bread
>pepperjack cheese
>tomatoes
>romaine lettuce
>roastbeef
>sourkraut
>peppercinis
>hot peppers
>black olives
>sprouts
>pickles
>hot mustard
>spicy mayo
>sourkraut
>peppercinis
>hot peppers
>black olives
>pickles
Way too much fermented/brined shit muh man.
I do eat alot of it... what is a good substitute?
2 lightly toasted slices of wonder bread
light mustard on the bottom
colby jack slices (about 1/3 inch)
old el pass medium salsa
alfalfa sprouts
Thank me later ma niggas
Don't the flavors get lost with that many ingredients on one sandwich?
oh, don't get me wrong, I like me some fermented shit, but on a sandwich sometimes less is more.
No but then again im a glutton
>Darkest whole grain bread they've got
>Toasted enough to have some grip
>Smear of Mayo and Stoneground mustard, one on each slice.
>Crunchy lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, Fried egg
>Carved turkey,
>Sprinkle of salt and pepper
>Wrapped tightly in butcher paper and allowed to cool for 20 minutes, or until the bread has regained a bit of its tact
>Throw it in the trash and make yourself a Grilled Cheese.
Never like BLTs. So empty
Well, I can understand why you are empty
>thin sliced bread
>thin sliced swiss
>thin layer of mayo
>mustard
>one slice of low sodium deli turkey
>as much lettuce and onion as i want
it's healthier but i hurt remembering what I used to have
I don't care if it's a meme sandwich, chicken avocado bacon is a god tier combo
Meh. Your ingredients are too chunky. You can pile your bs crap as high as you want but just slice it thin for a sandwich.
Add some yellow mustard for a BLYAT
So why is my garden exploding with more lettuce than I can eat every summer? Don't spout useless lies for no reason please.
For me, it's the roast pork. Best sandwich.
>sourdough
>mayo
>bacon
>pickles
>lettuce
>tomato
Agreed. A sandwich that is too thick just sucks.
Just the B for me please
