I never got the spam-eggs-and-rice breakfast. Spam is cheap, but whatever, some people grew up with it, comfort food for them. It only brings salt and vague meaty-ness . The eggs and rice are pretty bland on their own. Could you do a spam-fried rice with some onions, garlic, and peppers to spruce it up with some flavor?

Induction is nice because of the heating and being easy to clean, but it has big drawbacks too

Mine pauses if you remove a pan, it starts operating again as soon as it senses a pan again. It isn't the actual glass under the pan that heats the pan, it's the magnet underneath that makes the pan get hot, so "turning off" or pausing isn't an issue. I've never had mine shut off for getting the pan too hot although I suppose it is possible, induction heaters can melt metal if they're powerful enough.

I thought it was disgusting until I tried it, it's actually really pretty good if sliced thin and fried up a little crispy in a skillet. It's kind of like bacon, kind of like hot dog. Try it, it isn't like it's expensive.

It's a spinner anyway, that's why I have the silicone thingy holding up the handle. I don't scrape the fork into it so it doesn't mar the seasoning.
