if you're so inspired, why don't you figure it out?

Put ketchup in your broken spaghetti. Walla.

Miso soup is my favorite. Melon bread if you're a baker. And I got a williams sonoma gift card for christmas so I impulse bought a takoyaki pan and that's fun too. Also, rice balls with umeboshi are really good. I'm not a fan of umeboshi on its own, but with rice, it's like a more flavorful soy sauce.

Mapo Tofu. It's a Chink recipe but it's pretty good.

Well, it's also easy as fuck to make since you can get a mix that you just need to add hot water to.

Curry rice is pretty easy. Just make meat stew with carrots, onions, and potato stew then toss in a pack of the curry rue towards the end and voila. The rue you get at the supermarket is exactly the same as what they use over there.

If you wanna be fancy use beef stock as the liquid base, lightly caramelize the onions, put some sake in it part way through, and add some soy sauce near the end.

A lot of japanese dishes actually come from china.

>cookie crust over bread
sounds actually delicious. seems simple enough
ive had miso soup at hibachi places and its pretty good, but was looking for something a bit more exotic. ill definitely try the rice umeboshi
>mapo tofu
i do really like spicy food
i've only ever had indian curry so that sounds really interesting

good suggestions so far. Its making a decent list of things to try making

Sure friend here you go:

Any stir fry you fucking want
>mix soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, cornstarch dissolved in water, ginger, garlic in a bowl.
>marinading does nothing don't fucking bother
>slice meat of choice into thin strips
>throw a bunch of random veggies in a wok and cook until just starting to get tender
>throw in the meat and cook for a short amount of time on high heat
>dump in the sauce and stir frequently on high heat until veggies are tender and meat is cooked to desired level
>serve over rice

There, any stir fry you could ever want. Just vary veggies and meat, and potentially throw some alternatives in like oyster sauce and fish sauce. Don't ever fucking add sugar you degenerate.

Also one of my favorites:

Spicy korean short-rib:
>Get short ribs. You'll need either asian store or a butcher to cut them for you.
> Water rice vinegar in a bowl you know the fucking drill
>No ginger this time though, onions instead. Cut however you want, I prefer sliced.
> Get some hot ass peppers man shit
> It all goes in the bowl
> Pro-tip: don't grill that shit, cook it in a wok so you preserve the sauce.
>Cook until beef is med-rare (super quick bc thin)
>Serve over rice, make sure to spoon sauce over rice.

Fucking delicious.

/thread

I went to a japanese grocery because i was so interested in le anime food. i tried onigiri an egg salad sandwich and next door to the little grocery i got that from they had an express, where i tried ramen with pork broth and pork cutlet and later, curry with pork cutlet. then i brought ramen and instant curry home and made my own stuff. I visit the store once a month or two now and have yummy day of japanese food. i can't get enough of their curry. I've tried a pork cutlet bowl at a few places but am not into it.

That's all i've tried though.

this thread went way better than expected. thanks Veeky Forums

neat

Crack an egg into freshly cooked rice and stir in some soy sauce.

Literally not an issue anywhere in the developed world. The FDA is just retarded.
