Getting someone else to pay for it.

Having a modicum of common sense and realizing that once my $13 is gone, it's gone. Therefore eating whatever will bring me the most happiness, regardless of what it's "worth".

that's simple. eat the foods that have the highest cost per pound.

There's a reason why there's usually a guy at the meat table cutting for you.

Dunk everything in the chocolate fountain.

that is pretty much what i do as well, but i will put a little bit more on my plates. I will usually fair about two decent plates, and maybe a piece of something else on the third. then i draw the line.

I'm at a casino in Louisiana and just had a pretty great buffet. We hadn't eaten yet today and were drinking and playing mississippi stud all day, so we were ravenous. The casino comped our buffets too. Normally $27 each. Here are my plates number 1 and 2. How'd I do?

Plate number 2. They had crawfish, which are in season, but I'm normally not really a fan. These were good though. I think i actually like the potatoes and corn more than the crawfish

These are the most helpful tips, you don't know if you'll actually like what you see, or if what you see will even have any taste in it. Once you sampled everything you'd like to eat, you go for it in massive quantities.

Is this something only Americans do?

I don't really minmax buffets, but I do tend to think that drinking a ton of liquid is a waste since I only drink water anyway. I focus on seafood since its not always readily available or cheap where I live. Im not about that crab life though. That shit isn't even really worth the effort and mess except for maybe the Chinese buffet stuffed crabs that are already open.

Do you have any idea how buffets work? It's a fixed price per person no matter what you eat - you walk in, pay the fee and pick a table

This. Don't get filler shit like rice and rolls, go straight for the meat and seafood. Don't buy a drink either, just get water and drink only a little of it, save that stomach room for more meat.

You absolutely can, because your diet isn't temporary. It's how you live now, if you want to succeed.

As long as you stay within your deficit (or take a maintenance day to calorie cycle) it won't do any damage. Moderation can save you. I've lost 80lbs since I started, never gained weight, and I've been to at least 3 all one cares to eat restaurants since I started.

By not going. I am not fat and don’t eat more than 2000-2500 calories a day.

There is literally no way if you aren't a fat fuck. I ate at the wicked spoon which some argue is the best vegas buffet and for a little under $40 I ate two plates and was full and the food was ok. Would have cost me no more than $18 at a regular restaurant. Buffets are a rip if you aren't fat or a competitive eater.

I pretty much feel this way.

The only times buffets are worthwhile are if:

>you have a large group with varied tastes or dietary concerns that needs the variety of a buffet

>you've been out of the country and are missing a variety of classic foods from home

>the buffet includes alcohol and your group wants to get fucked up

Other than that it seems like a waste.
