Keeping it simple on toast with a poached egg is the perfect breakfast. Eggs and anchovy Benedict if thats your thing.

Puttanesca with spaghetti is an easy cupboard dish that smells incredible. Seriously, fry off some garlic and anchovy in the oil the anchovy comes in and your girl will go crazy. Add tinned tomato, olive, capers and season with whatever.

On cheese pizza is so good theres a whole Futurama episode on it.

Yeah they add too much and you end up having to separate the fish from the seasoning and its a stinky fish.

Get a can of rio tuna in extra virgin olive oil. It is the best canned tuna imo. There are also variations with giant cannelini beans in tomato sauce which is fantastic and some others with beans/corn, etc. It is just addicting.

I tried a different brand of mussels once and they were fucking revolting

I've never tried sardines in the mustard sauce, it just doesn't sound good to me. I normally just get the olive oil, but is the mustard sauce very strong?

They're surprisingly good. They come in that sauce you get on eel sashimi, kinda sweet/salty but not overpowering.

i haven't tried these for years, this post inspired me to try them again.... they're ok, but nothing super great

open the can. take a deep breath of the fumes. if it smells like fish, it is fine. if it smells of rotten fish and makes you want to kill yourself, it is not good to consume.

I get canned fish from the dollar store and it's fine. It's not premium gourmet stuff, but it's as good as regular grocery store canned fish.

Eel's fucking delicious, but they're endangered af and there's no sustainable way to farm them.

Just tried some Raincoast sardines. They fucking obliterate Season, Wild Planet, and King Oscar. You only get three, but they're massive.

There's alot of different preserved fish that are fucking delicious. I like sardines in tomato sauce and kippered herring. Another good thing is this stuff tart but yummy.
