Im making some lentil soup, will post process, as of now it's just simmering.
POST WHAT YOU'RE MAKING RIGHT NOW
I made some breakfast bagels earlier to freeze
t. peter parker. i have a shrimp stock going. it's been about two hours now.
just turn post processing off, you don't need it
Why the fuck does Veeky Forums always fuck up picture orientation when im phone posting,
Veggies + water to boil
How do you warm those things up and have them not be shit? Genuinely curious as I want to make a bunch for bfast and eat quickly in the morning.
you know it takes all of 7 minutes to fry and egg and put it with a slice of ham and cheese on a bagle, right?
and that a fresh one tastes about 55 times better?
Fucking kek, I mesnt process of making soup.
Added spices + a little tomato paste
monitoring
You clearly live in Australia, m8.
Just keep the thread bumped if necessary thanks bud
Explain your reasons before I answer
20 more minutes
Just microwave. Its obviously not as tasty as fresh but its still breddy gud. I wrap them in wet paper towels which seems to help.
I don't have time in the morning to do this. Its a good motivator to get me up and out to the library each day. I can head in, find a computer, pop over to the canteen and buy a tea and microwave it, then head back to the PC and eat before starting my work. I bake the eggs as well so it's just easier to make a big omelette instead of doing it individually each day.
I had this issue, take the photo in horizontal with your rotation turned on.
what kind of lentils? is that tomato soup in there as well?
Keked
Pork sandwich. Roast pork belly, pulled pork, home pickled vegetables, on a hoagie that isn't too bad for store-bought.
Red split, added about 2 tablespoons of tomato pasteand a tablespoon of paparika
Weird. It's like the camera sucked half the red out of that image. Everything is pale.
g'day, mate
Nice mere paw
I kinda skipped thst step as this is more of a test dish to find the right soup taste
I'm making some chili, been simmering for about 5 hours already, probably let it go for another 2 or so. And just so Texans can freak out, yes I put beans in it.
Tastes pretty freaken good, added a tad of chicken broth
just finished this, made the kimchi and pickled daikon from scratch. Peanut chilli tofu with eggplant
I just made this for dinner. Holy shit best fucking dinner I've had in a long fucking time, restaurant or home.
Alternative view.
why do you care tho
not OP just curious
a lot of things taste better if you take the time to make them on the spot but that doesnt mean i want to cook everynight after 8 hours of work followed by gym and bar with coworkers
that looks delicious. mind sharing the peanut chili tofu recipe?
peanuts and tofu.
enjoy
Thanks! It's extra firm tofu, coat cubes in cornstarch and fry on each side, then add sauce to pan & coat:
>1 tbsp soy sauce
>1 tbsp lime juice
>2 tbsp smooth pb
>1 tbsp maple syrup/honey
>1 tbsp garlic chilli sauce
that looks like weeb shit
thanks!
Thank you for contributing
I practically lived on lentil soup for years. You should try frying your veg for a few minutes before adding water. Also BACON
A small can of chopped tomatoes has the same effect.
another pot of this; this time with some peas. will be adding grilled chicken tomorrow
God damn that looks good
Hey I was just going to lookup lentil soup recipes too.thanks user.

I put blade steak, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, garlic and beef stock into my slow cooker. i suppose I'll eat whatever it produces tonight
Noted
Plan to fry em when i do a larger batch
Bump
OP why don't you sauté mirepoix at the start instead of boiling it!!!!!!?????
Shepherd's pie from last night. Roughly chopped up some sirloin, cooked it in a pan with some onion, thyme, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Once meat was browned and onion was translucent, I took it off heat. In a small pot I made a packet of 'mushroom sauce', a sort of gravy, and set aside once done. In another pan I laid down some butter and threw a 16oz bag of frozen shredded potatoes in spread out evenly, cooked maybe 10 minutes without the lid on to build crust. From there I mix some frozen veggies in with the meat, check salt, pour the gravy over that mix, dislodge the potato crust from the pan, salt the top facing potato, flip the potato disc onto the meat pan, straighten it out with a spatula, spray the top with olive oil, salt the top, and put it in a 400f for 30 minutes.
Here's an action shot. 8/10, was very good but obviously some shortcuts were taken, and I didn't crust the potatoes as well as I wanted to.
looks good breh
Looks 10/10 user great job
I mean you could read the thread but because small test batch that's all
What he says Also, picture orientation is written into the jpg exif data when the app creates the file. So you can rotate it in your quick-n-dirty image editor, but that may not touch the exif, so other applications will still display it in that orientation.
Make it a png and it will be guaranteed to maintain your preferred rotation.
