yes

They always looked so perfect in these commercials while the actual ones looked like this.
I felt cheated as a kid

That's not jelly, that's fishsticks.

Came here to point this out.

Did everyone eat this with the same meal?
As a kid we would have spinach creme, potatoes and fishsticks. It would always be this meal that we would eat fishsticks with.

They look raw in the commercial.

Weird...

It still exists in my university cantine.

Fishsticks are eaten with macaroni and cheese.

>slap a whole package in the pan
>drown them in oil
>turn up the heat and ruin the whole kitchen
>build a tower with them on a plate
>squeeze two fat lemons all over it
>ascend to heaven

>regret it a few hours later

Thus is the cycle of the fish stick

I remember all the children raiding his plate.
For some reason there were like 14 children alone with that old man on a boat.

Beadcrumbs ? nah m8 that's a bit pleb I only eat the battered ones.

For me it was always peas, rice and potato salad.

he was just lonely after spending all that time at sea alone.

I liked these when I was a kid, but I despise them as an adult

They are quite practical for a fast sandwich.

Jesus christ what a dread these things are. I once got a sad suprise by a friend i was living with then. coming home from a trip he pulled out a blunt and we got high. I was hungry af and thought he had prepared something nice. Nope just these cheap frozen fishdicks with ass mayo and white rice. To this day i remember how lousy a meal it was.

You don't need to put oil on them. They're already oily enough on their own. Squeezed lemon juice is a fantastic addition, though.

I only like the birdseye batter fish fingers. Not the breadcrumb ones.

Should've had them in a sandwich
