Hey Veeky Forums. I am cooking for friends today and am going to chronicle my journey. I have around 5 hours until people arrive. In that time I have to do the following:
>make meatballs
>make tomato sauce
>bake sandwich rolls
>make french fries
>bake lemon sponge cake
>make lemon curd/baker's creme
>make lemoncello cocktails

I will be posting in this thread periodically with updates. I am starting with getting the yeast going.

These are the tomatoes I used. I bought whole peeled crushed them with my hands. My onions and celery still have to sweat so now I am making anchovies paste.

I chose half bison and half pork for my meatballs. I chose bison instead of beef because bison was on sale for some reason.

My meatballs improved dramatically in terms of a tender texture when I started soaking my bread in milk. Nice touch.

The meatball mixture is done. Now it needs to firm up in the freezer for half an hour. In the mean time I'm gonna clean up a bit.

Also here is a tip for u sweet cheeks grind up some pepperoni and add to mb mix also if u have some pesto add it 1 or 2 tbs. Dont forget the cheese and FRESH parsley. Xitalian deli owner

I assumed you were making meatball subs w/ french fries at the start.
I would definitely go with pasta over sandwiches, and skip the fries. Meatball subs are too messy for party food, and everyone loves garlic bread. Plus, fuck home made fries.
