hello, Veeky Forums I've been visiting Veeky Forums for roughly a decade, but I've never posted here before. Most of the time I see people discussing other boards Veeky Forums is almost universally described with superlatives. This is why I decided to give it a try and ask you about a thing. So I'm a recovering alcoholic. I have severe B1 vitamin deficiency. I knew it's stored in the liver, I looked up nutrition facts on liver, which I never eat, and the percentage of B1 content per 100g compared to literally everything else is the greatest I've seen when it comes to differences between different sources of specific nutrition. Make no mistake, I'm already taking 150mg of B1 in tablets, which is literally more than 10000% the daily recommended dose. Thankfully when it comes to B1 in particular, it's nearly impossible to "overdose" because of pharmacokinetics. Supposedly the bioavailability is decent as well. Regardless, I thought to myself that I want to get back to cooking, epsecially since an alcoholic needs to take care of his liver, and even more importantly, his pancreas.
tl;dr give me good liver recipes because all I've seen on the internet is literally "clean liver from blood, remove tendons and other unwanted tissue, dry it with a kitchen towel, put some flour on it, fry, add onion, add salt and pepper AT THE END" It tasted great yesterday, but I'm looking for something fancier.
I remember they served boiled liver with white bread in the rehab...
Slice into small thin pieces. Sear it in an extremely hot pan with chives. Best liver I ever had was at 10am in some little back alley stall in Bangkok, and that’s all they did with it. Oh god, I dream of that liver...
Kevin Sanders
I bought half a kilo of beef, chicken and pork. Chicken tasted great the way I've done it yesterday, but as I said, I was thinking about something fancier that just liver+onion best positive adjective, I'm not a native speaker, but I know this word translates almost literary in Polish, "superlatywa"

lambs fry with onion. and little bit of shoulder bacon
Aiden Sanders
Dunno if chicken livers would work well for your condition but I got a few recipes I use them for and they are $1 a pound and delicious if cooked properly. I would eat them more but I don't want gout (it runs in my family).
Ian Mitchell
Soak them in lemon juice overnight and sautee with garlic, shallot and red onion to finish mix in a bit of molecaté sauce (similar to marinara). Make a paté with champagne as those flavors mesh well. Look up pork perloo.
Xavier Jones
I must stay away from any alcoholic beverages, so even a bit of champagne is out of the question, but other than that I really like your recommendation, thanks a lot my salivary glands got turned on just by reading
Well, that is the best way to cook it. You can also blend it into pate.
Owen Lewis
champagne has alcohol, I'm an alcoholic I literally should stay away even from candies with alcohol, or torte soaked with alcohol you don't get drunk from it, but it does trigger the craving that's what I guess what your "huh?" about I'll consider doing that, I like usual pate a lot, especially with plums in it.
Luis Lee
Liver soup? It's simple and warm.
Look into some Chinese recipes.
Samuel Taylor
You should visit the al/ck/ thread on Veeky Forums, it is full of other alcoholics ... I mean ethanol imbibement specialists. I am sure they can help you out. Then that thread will at least have been good for something.
Colton Robinson
"Huh?" is a board meme, don't worry about it

Try some recipes for french liver pâté. Basically a meat spread, you can achieve something close to the taste of foie gras with duck or chicken liver and the right spices / prep.
Joseph Miller
Nutritional yeast is loaded with b vitamins. Sprinkle it on anything you want to add a little bit of savory/nutty/cheesey flavor to.
I like it on beans and popcorn.
Also dandelion tea will help your liver.
Josiah Scott
how does she do that
Hunter Baker
It's a drawing.
Jack Carter
that doesn't explain shit
Austin Williams
ask your babcia, she'll hook you up with the good recipes
Gavin Carter
SHE IS DRAWED DOING IT
Leo Jackson
NO SHIT SHERLOCK BUT THAT'S LIKE SAYING "HE IS FILMED DOING" AS AN EXPLANATION FOR A YOUTUBE VIDEO OF SOME RETARD DOING A NIFTY TRICK
Ryder Jenkins
They're just two dimensional lines on a screen. You imagine that they look like somebody doing something, but nobody is doing anything. They're nothing but meaningless lines.
Jaxson Diaz
Miss the gout, if you can. That shit sucks. I haven't had a flare up in 2 years but I have to be careful about what I eat.
Aiden Gonzalez
What’s this anime’s name? She’s super cute.

If you have chicken liver I'd say go with dirty rice (I probably have a recipe kicking around).
Owen Thompson
>dirty rice do third worlders really eat this?
Asher Jones
It's based on a real trick where you make the ball appear to be completely on a plane or unmovable based on subtle hand movements, which the drawing is practicing
Chase Ortiz
Dirty rice : Dirty Rice is a spicy and flavorful Cajun rice dish made from white rice. It gets its “dirty” color from finely chopped chicken livers and ground beef or pork.
But I mean sure, the USA by most metrics is a third world country.
