Hero or Villain?
villain
As far as fascists go, he seemed to be the "good" kind. His form of fascism seemed to emphasize the unconditional support of his citizens, on an essentially socialist platform. Also, he was into decolonization and having other countries work in their own self-interest without foreign powers meddling, so his ideology seemed to be more centered on "national pride" than the "national conflict" of other fascists.
Still, I doubt he would've been an effectively leader if he somehow magically got into power, and so is rightfully forgotten by most of the world.
Hero
>have memes gone too far?
How could a villain enjoy ice cream this much?
His influence is still resonating in parts of the world. The People's Action Party in Singapore were quite influenced by his writings, you can even see evidence of this within the logo of British Fascists and the PAP.
> on an essentially socialist platform
Is this surprising at all? Most every effective fascist parties evolved from some form of socialist movement or at least were highly influenced by it.

Mosley was the comfiest fascist leader of all time. How many other fascist leaders went to the beach with the lads to have a laugh, while flirting with all the slags?

Hero? Villain?
Totally irrelevant. He is the Donny of European politics.

He knew all the problems that we face today were coming. Too bad the fascists had to murder all those Jews because it had a lot of good ideas.
Hero obviously.
I don't understand why he's become a meme among the anti-Anglos around here. Why pick him instead of somebody truly perfidious like Churchill?
It's his smug face I think.
Neither honestly. I legitimately respect and like Mosley but he never did anything significant enough to receive either labels. Commiboo leftshits despise him because fascism and stormfag /pol/acks love him because da joos and Hitler.
This x1000. Krauts ruin literally everything good that ever came out of Europe.
Hilariously beta
Based man.
Is this your own copy?
A fucking hero
Fuck all these socialist leftist shitbags
Enoch Powell was a hero too, Everything he said England would become, did
Fucking hell this is chilling
Wasn't he a republican?
Mosley's "impact" on history, even British history, even the history of Britain in the 1930s is laughable. He's a historical nonentity and a literal meme.
Mosley never expressed any pro-Republican sentiments historically, and seemed to favour the monarchy in a decent amount of his publications, describing it as a positive institution which brought the people together, though he would likely strip the monarchy of their official powers completely, giving the government full legal independence, rather than it only operating through royal prerogative as it does to this day. Was one of the two parties to reject calls for Edward VIII to abdicate, the other being the CPGB.
>socialist leftist shitbags
That is Mosley though, he spent most of his parliamentary career in the Labour party, and becoming one of their youngest ever cabinet ministers in the aftermath of the 1929 election. Many of his writings in the 1930s revolve around the same principle, rejection of the intentionalist element of the Labour party, and to overcome the old party machine to create a government of action, rather than the talking shop of Westminster. In his final months Mosley even openly admitted to friends that leaving the Labour party was his biggest mistake, rather than trying to reform it.
And there's the lesser known fact that around the time Mosley made his first visit to Italy while still a sitting Labour MP, his wife (also a Labour MP) was in Istanbul meeting with Leon Trotsky, described in Mosley's memoirs and one of Trotsky's diaries.
How did he become a Sir?
I know nothing about him except he was a fascist.
You're a funny guy user
In pic related too, John Strachey who was effectively Mosley's right hand man and closest poltical friend up until they split in 1932 over the rebranding of the movement as the British Union of Fssicsts was a dedicated Marxist, and left the BUF for the Communist Party of Great Britain, the same party where Mosley's chief Ideologue Alexander Raven Thomson originally came from before joining the BUF.
Other than the CPGB, the biggest opponent the BUF had in Brtiain was the Imperial Fascist League noted for attacking BUF meetings, and their leader denouncing Mosley as a 'Kosher fascist' from the 'British Jewnion of Fssicsts'. Then you have Mosley's personal dislike of Hitler (funding was only available thanks to Mosley's 2nd wife (after Cimmie's death) Diana's connections and friendship with Hitler through her sister Unity.
His father was a Baronet, a title which had been in the family for generations. The lowest ranking noble title in Britain though, it's the only noble title which did not grant holders a seat in the House of Lords, and is generally not treated noble in aristocratic circles.
His eldest son Nicholas stll holds the title today as ; Nicholas Mosley, 3rd Baron Ravensdale, 7th Baronet, the Barony of Ravensdale came from his maternal Grandfather Lord George Curzon, the title passed to his daughter Mary, and then Mary's decreased sister Cimmie, and into her eldest son Nicholas.
Thanks for the answer, I googled him and found this interesting picture.
Oh yes, funnily enough I uploaded that a while back, Mosley and his first wife Cimmie were visiting New York at the time, and received an out of the blue invitation for a yacht trip with FDR, probably due to Cimmie's fathers fame, or Mosley's growing fame in the Labour party. There's a chapter in Mosley's autobiography about FDR also included this other picture with FDR. I'm sure Nicholas Mosley's biography also includes a picture of just Cimmie and FDR.

Say it again Kraut, we may care eventually.

I wonder what he would have said if he knew that he was this anti-Aryan meme on a Chinese cartoon discussion forum
>meme
it was literally just one autistic German spamming /int/ for months on end, for some reason Veeky Forums picked it up (probably because Veeky Forums is shit)
on /pol/ it was a Turkish poster, pretending to be German
but for all I know, it could be Americans pretending to forget to use Turkish proxy
thereby fooling everyone into thinking it was a Turk who failed to turn on his Germany proxy etc
I'm not on /int/ so I don't know how it went there
Hero
Villain.
He's also just a meme in general over on /gsg/ within Veeky Forums.
