Happy Pascha, Orthodox
first time at an Orthodox Church for Pascha. They gave me a red egg. I ate it. Pretty nice day over all.
>jesus
>christ
>god
pick one
Did you lose pretty quick?
>special snowflake dating for Easter
Stop this. Not even Muslims are this divided
Dude its been like this since byzantine times.
>things that are outdated shouldn't be changed because they're old
lose what? oh the egg crack thing? i didn't do it, i just ate it -__-
RIP xenos
Wow fucking barbarian. You're probably Baptist or something
Hey I never found out, as Veeky Forums most knowledgeable Catholic why do you not find the Orthodox Churchs claims of being the true church valid?
Is it just cultural reasons or is their something deficient in their understanding of theology or history?
...
I'll pick three.
>rip xenos
what did he mean by this? please explain your orthodox inside jokes to me
Χριστός ἀνέστη
Had a great Pascha. Went to the the Lamentation, the midnight service, then the Agape service, and went to a friend's house, we had roast lamb and too much food to account for.
Catholics tend to see the Orthodox as wrong concerning the Pope, but otherwise fully valid in all Sacraments, and a lung of the truth Church, so that question doesn't really work. Although the Orthodox don't reciprocate the sentiment.
The dating used for Pascha was decided by an Ecumenical Council long before the Schism. It doesn't just have to do with the calendar, it also has to come after Passover.
>Rip [outsider, foreigner]
He is truly risen brother! :)
It was a great day, Easter is my absolute favorite, coming from a lent into joy, my whole family is thrilled
Pascha means shit in Finnish
It's pronounced more like "paska" if that changes anything
I think he meant to say:
PASGA MEANS SHIDD IN FIDDISH :DDDDDD
cool story
Πάσχα
>depicting Jesus as a frog
Christians, not even once
>Catholics tend to see the Orthodox as wrong concerning the Pope, but otherwise fully valid in all Sacraments, and a lung of the truth Church, so that question doesn't really work.
>Catholics tend to see the Orthodox as wrong concerning the Pope
Which is a question of theology and history which is precisely why that question works.
Truly he has risen

Boy this sure is a thread about HISTORY and not Christfags circlejerking themselves.
1. This board is also for religion, says so on the sticky
2. Pascha is the commemoration of an historical event
You are both forgetting the part before that which states discussion rather than blog posting/ facebook update style posts which this thread clearly is
>Father
>Son
>Holy Spirit
Do different than a thread about the Forth of July or something.
I think you are missing a few words in that sentence
>2. Pascha is the commemoration of an historical event
Uh, no. Pascha is the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus, which is not at all a historical event. Go ahead and post fedoras if you like.
> hundred of witnesses and dozen reports
> thousands of evidences like nails from the cross
> undeniable impact on history of humanity
> is not at all a historical event
Who fabricated it?
>hundred of witnesses and dozen reports
Oh wow.
0 witness recordings and 0 witness reports
...
See the case here for the historicity of the Gospels
