Stupidest ideas in History. I'll start:

Stupidest ideas in History. I'll start:

"Hey lets give states to our military men." - Some "Holy" "Roman" "Emperor"

"The wealth will trickle down" - Ronald Reagan

Considering size of >H >R >E, it isn't stupididea

When was Pomerelia and Prussia part of HRE?

HRE was German autism realized

Isn't most of history just autism?

>I did it all, busta, I did it all

The biggest failure in the history of the HRE was to give land to the fucking pope. The emperor should have genocided fucking Rome and replaced its population with faithful knights from across the alps and rule that bitch empire like the fucking Caesar he was claiming to be. Hell, he should have declared himself emperor and pope, true heir of Jesus Christ, lord of the earthly world. He would have conquered China by the 1500s.

Look at that, a Germanboo is being delusional, just another day here on Veeky Forums.

yes

IN the start it was actually a rather good idea to give land to the bishops, as they didn't get any heirs and didn't have dynastic reasons to go against the emperor.
If only the pope had been less of a cunt.

This.

"Let's achieve a stateless society by creating a massive state" - Margz

>Yeah, a two-front war against the US and the UK in the West and against all Slavic people in the East would be devastating for us but hey, let's just hope for the best and pray that Americans and Brits will overthrow their government eventually and install a more German-friendly junta. What could possibly go wrong!

Is this probably one of the most deadliest treaties in history?

"No enemies to the left."

>let's trust these Turkish mercenaries to defend our lands
>what could possible go wrong

The worst part is that people keep falling for this for centuries.

No, their problem was being Greeks

Greeks + Paid troops = great fun

t. Voltaire

I think Greece existing is one of the dumbest ideas in history

...

>germany declared war on the US
>russia wasnt about to invade germany
>russia wasnt reeling from officer purges at the time

>Fruity
>Pebble
>Confederation

>Implying Reagan actually believed this
It was just a ruse.

>>germany declared war on the US
They did, dumbass.

>what kind of empire does my highness desire?
>just gavelkind my royal ass up.

Not really. That map is more or less a property record.

>let's trust these foreign mercenaries to defend our lands
It's like its their theme or something.

Reynald of Chatillon kidnapping Saladin's sister, voiding the truce brokered by Raymond of Tripoli and essentially condemning Jerusalem to be retaken and held by the Muslims for 40 years straight was pretty retarded.

>Baibars said we can rent Jerusalem for 15 years
>what he doesn't know is we'll fight them when they try to reclaim it

T bh Reagan wasn't a super bright guy. He was a great communicator and his anti commie sentiments helped us oversee the fall of the Soviet empire, but his policies weren't the best. I've heard that he always thought the good guys win but once he saw a film where everyone dies in the event of a nuclear holocaust. Apparently this caused him to be depressed for three days.

Citation or OP is a liar.

lol, I was reading memoirs of some of his staffers and the only way they could communicate a policy principle to him was to show him a movie with that as a theme. His staffers showed him that film on purpose because they couldn't get him to think about diplomatic communication w/ soviets and wanted to scare him into it.
