Skylark... do a little bit of research on the Hungarian revolt of 1848 first, but it's not necessary, because it's a good book besides.

They're not like a brewery making different types of beer. NYRB on the spine means nothing. If they happen to publish an author you're interested in then go for it.
funny enough, the publishers actually get to choose what they publish, and some people actually like their choices.
