I don't use one. I always end my reading session by finishing a chapter or a section. It sucks to end and pick in the middle of a dialogue, and having to reread e few paragraphs to remember what lead the current train of thought.

actually went to the used bookstore yesterday and bought a book which had a 5 EURO bill as a bookmark.

feels good buying books but still coming home with more money than when I left. Won't use it as a bookmark though since the EU is the devil.

I sometimes find bookmarks in books I buy from charity shops, I found a Book of Kells design one in a set of volumes some fella's family donated from his library after he died.
I like the idea of my bookmark having a history.
