How does the war go if this was the result? Note: Bismarck's rudder is functional. Damage report: - Anton turret knocked out, needs port for repairs - Bruno turret knocked out, needs port for repairs - Slight list to port - Moderate damage to secondary armament
Still leaking oil from engagement with Hood/PoW. In summary, it will definitely need to race for France to put in for repairs.

This :-(
Isaiah White
Nah. It was almost in German fighter cover range.
Aaron Reyes
Kif, send wave after wave of Catalina after him.
Brody Green
heh, nothin personal bismarck *torpedos u*
Kevin Jenkins
Okay, please tell me which units will be in range, how they will find the Bismarck, how many planes will be sent, and how they will overcome Germany's France-based fighters.
Even better, if it was so easy, why didn't the UK just do that and avoid a naval engagement in the first place?
Aiden Reed
If the engagement was near the rather pathetic range of German fighter escorts, then the engagement was within range of coastal command and assets other than coastal command would be released for this operation.
We can assume that the engagement itself would result in air vectoring. What was the time of disengagement due to sinking? How much night does Bismark have to make his Easting?
>do that…in the first place I am not responsible for the shitty programming of your video game.
Kevin Harris
>britcuck spewing a bunch of retarded shit
You didn't address any of the questions. Obviously disengagement would be roughly around the historical time of the end of the battle.
Enjoy your Muslim capital, cuck.

Tell me how to make a hole in the fence so my chickens can eat in my neighbour's yard, but my neighbour's chickens cannot eat in mine.
Carson Hill
This is a really shitty analogy.
Connor Moore
Are you suggesting Coastal & Fighter command were shorter legged than German fighters in Atlantic France?
William Gonzalez
Best case scenario, it returns to German waters safe from further molestation, spends a year being repaired and refitted and then sets out again, sinks a couple merchant ships and then gets sunk by the British navy. Likely it gets back to port, and is then either sunk in port or very heavily damaged by an air raid or sub raid or both.
Worst case it gets intercepted and crippled by an obsolete plane barely flying fast enough to not fall out of the sky again and sunk by the British navy. The Bismark could not have significantly impacted the war in any real way. It was too lightly armored to stand up to modern ships of the day and too outnumbered to have done do even if it was. It was a commerce raider that was supposed to sail around alone in the age of aircraft that had no proximity shells for it's AA. It inevitably gets torpedoed. He'll, even if it did have proximity fuzes it still gets holed by a British plane it just shoots more down first. Or a British sub gets it. Or done British ships force an engagement and sink it, maybe it sinks one or two of them but there's no way the Bisnark survives the war under any circumstances that don't devolve into fan fiction, and bad fan fiction at that.
Andrew Johnson
How would that happen? I wouldn't fancy Bismarck's chances against just KGV, let alone with Rodney
Xavier Young
The Bismarck would've been a lot more effective as a fleet in being docked off the Atlantic then being sent out on another raid if it survived. It certainly would've given the Normandy planners some second thoughts. The Arctic Conveys were more important at this stage of the war.
George V was no Hood but it certainly outclassed by the Bismarck.

WORLD WAR TWO NAVY POWER RANKINGS
Gods of Olympus tier: USA
Balls of Steel tier: Regia Marina
Odds Defying Master-Race: Japanese French (Pre Vichy) Dutch
Lived Up to Expectations Tier: Royal Navy -POWER GAP- Kriegsmarine
What Navy?: USSR
Thoughts? Rearrangements?
Angel Hall
Is this list only taking surface fleets into account?
David Perry
Please tell me how the Bismarck will sink two battleships which are individually at least as strong as the Bismarck.
Xavier Miller
>George V was no Hood but it certainly outclassed by the Bismarck. Bismarck had worse armor, worse armor scheme, and slightly larger guns but fewer tubes. Bismarck was a really shitty battleship, worse than all new builds except the Italian ships.
Angel Campbell
>Japan >Odds defying
Wyatt Barnes
No, Italians get their position for ballsy frogmen.
They did well to hold out for as long as they did.
Liam Murphy
>They did well to hold out for as long as they did. They didn't really hold out. It just took the US a while to build up enough to start its zerg. Once the US had enough carriers and landing ships etc they took everything basically at will. And how long the WW2 took had nothing to do with how good their navy was at defying odds. IJN was larger than the USN in 1941-1942. Their navy lost battle after battle in which they had the numbers advantage. IJN was finished in 1942.
Camden White
yep. Bismarck was effectively a faster Bayern, aside from speed she was pretty much a WW1 vintage ship. Honestly, I'd probably even go as far as to back Warspite in a 1v1 against Bismarck
Zachary Martinez
>how does the war go >implying that the Bismarck sinking or surviving changes anything in the end
Jackson Bennett
Split up the Decima Flottigila MAS and the general Regia Marina.
The Regia Marina is between "Lived up to expectations" and "What Navy", if only because they actually did their job in North Africa.
Alexander Brooks
There were over 3000 Allied ships involved in D-Day, the Bismark being there would change very very little. That's assuming the Bismark survives 4 years. None of the other German capitol ships did, they all were sunk at sea or in port, mostly while in port.
Kayden Flores
The war goes on exactly the same. The ship is sunk by a plane or sub eventually, the fate of all battleships.
Nathan Foster
>send your surface fleet ships out one by one instead of holding them in reserve as a fleet in being to be sacrificed during d-day and until then tying up massive allied resources who must wait around in case the combined battle fleet sets sail
Surely this was the work of Hitler
Gavin Walker
>they all were sunk at sea or in port, mostly while in port. 2 of 4 were sunk at harbor, 2 sunk at sea.

>actually using your surface ships instead of just sacrificing them against an assembled force a hundred times stronger than you This is why I don't get the Hitler was a bad strategist meme. He's at least better than 99% of Veeky Forums.
