This is my hunting innawoods kit. When I'm camping, I take a tarp, blanket, etc.
Why I have medieval looking gear: because I prefer the look of medieval gear in the forest compared to modern hunting clothing, because I prefer wearing natural materials when outdoors (and I think they help when you're hunting as well) and because the shoes In the picture are like moccasins, I'm silent when I walk in them.
I bowhunt as well so it really completes the look. Bowhunting's illegal here in the UK but nobody knows I do it.

I don't own a phone or a camera, because I live quite "simply" and don't earn a lot of money and spent it mostly on books and unrelated items

Most people don't know what a turnshoe is, and moccasin is easier to understand (no sole, soft, made of leather).
I don't "reenact", I don't go to events or fairs or go in public, but I go to abandoned locations or innawoods and do some living histoy, like making a camp and spending 3 days living off the land in natural shelters. We also do sparring/ "HEMA" stuff. Yeah, I'm pretty much a reenactor
