Why is everyone so obsessed with Hitler/Nazis?

Why is everyone so obsessed with Hitler/Nazis?

I'm not just referring to /pol/ fags. Everything seems to be obsessed with the nazis.

Literally memes, even before the Internet
They’re the big bad guys with funny habits that everyone knows about
Same thing with the Soviets, but it never got quite to the same extent

last time i checked a world war was a pretty big deal

it's cool to have a meme of evil, you know.

Because many lies are told about them.

They were genocidal maniacs in brilliant uniforms who happened not that long ago.

there literally the Disney/Marvel villains in our real world

>"pure evil" (clear good and bad)
>fany while doing bad things
>clear structures/goals easy to understand
and that was build on the foundation of propaganda

It hasn't been that long since WWII, Napoleon was a big deal well after Waterloo.

Hitler just assumed Nappy's role as England's posterboy for how good little Anglo boys shouldn't be.

Because people realise he was right.

The Nazis are the foundational myth of modernity, the subject of the Modern Kaoskampf. It is also why Nazi and fascist are evoked as political epitaph's so often. It's not just that these things are evil, but that they represent the undoing of universal stability.

It is without much exaggeration that you can say the U.N. was formed as a No-Hitler's Club, and the formation of a global consensus has fractured around what that means.

They are one of our foundational myths, and so we discuss them endlessly, because we cannot understand ourselves without Hitler.

Because WW2 was the most pivotal moment in recent history, everything that's happened since all goes back to WW2.

>tfw when you're not Aryan, anti-Semite or agree with Hitler and still love Nazis

So basically your thesis is that every era has a particular mythology, and in that mythology its own gods and creation myths?

I like it

well they did have snappy uniforms...

interesting observation, though there's probably a more academically rigorous term to use than "foundational myth".

>they represent the undoing of universal stability
Except the chaos is the role of Liberal Capitalism, Bolchevism and International Jewry and Fascism and National Socialism were attempts to restore order.

I agree that "Nazism" as portrayed by the Jewish media, academia and Hollywood is a myth though.

*WW1

Because we know that they're still fighting Jews out there. Keeping us safe. It's the only reason I can sleep at night.

We'll get you yet goyim! Just wait till the day there's no bacon not made from turkeys at your grocery store

They had really cool uniforms

Their epic failure at world domination and world relevancy makes them amusing villains in popular culture.

The Soviet Union never cached on, because at last they had a positive message that didn't center on genociding minorities.

Plus, literally everything about their symbolism, heraldry, regalia, etc. is designed to be appealing to the average person.

why, is it the songs?
youtube.com/watch?v=w2ztJbv78Hw

>epic failure
It was a pretty plausible feat for the capacity of a united Germany

>world domination
European domination*

>world relevency
>implying the Soviet Union didn't hilariously try to conquer the world
>implying the Nazis had any less of a positive message than the Soviets did

tl;dr don't post with reddit's knowledge of history

through gassing millions of jews, gypsies, mentally ill people, priests and catholics, and other groups?

the holocaust happened, denying it is like shoving your fingers in your ears and saying "lalala i cant hear you" in order to make your nazi larp morally justifiable internally.

Because his name has become synonymous with the greatest evil imaginable in a way that other dictators like Pol Pot, Stalin, etc. have not.

By being essentially the catch all expression of everything bad, Hitler and Nazism ironically ends up being perpetually reinforced in popular culture. In hundreds of years from now, that mustache will still be unpopular and Hitler will still be the ultimate bogeyman by which to refer to anything you dislike.

The Nazis are very alluring with their keen eye for aesthetics and extremely effective propaganda

No matter what your political inclinations It's hard not to watch a Nazi rally and wonder what It would have been like to be part of that community

Because it all has happened within just 10-12 years:

- do not have or get a job nor graduation
- write a silly book and always speak loud
- rise to government and uninstall democracy
- install your dictatorship instead in a well educated country
- host the Olympic Games (f.e. with the first doves of peace, olympic flame, etc.)
- teach the people that they are a kind of special race on a god´s given mission
- Say you are always right and tell em hysterically who to hate next
- rearm n found n org your Armies
- create a new religion
- with a lot of symbols and celebrations
- mobilize of the masses, incl. kids, women and all other loosers
- forming ordinary people to serial killers
- let all know that discipline and blind obedience is the key to career and victory for all
- take over half of Europe
- show no mercy for anyone
- destroy anything incl. killing millions of innocent and own people
- surprise the enemies with new technical innovations
- give a shit to any logic consequences
- finally show a never seen before downfall
- tell the people it´s all their own fault
- have a lot of luck

... after all you are the next fascinating Fuhrer

Because Hitler was right.

About what?
Remember the Holocaust never happened and he didn't have anything bad to say against Jews. He was a good boy.

The holocaust isn't even that big of a deal if it did happen.
