Not just you. The problem is that whatever the material the tongue is made of rubs against some of the same material within the shoe and makes that noise. After you wear them in for a while, the sound will start going away. However, ever once in a while the wound will come back when the tongue is laying in a weird way. I found that keeping the shoes a little looser helps to get rid of the sound at first, as the sound comes from when the two materials are rubbing against each other tightly.

wouldnt white sambas look better with all of these fits?

Sambas are so dope. I miss mine.

The only thing is that they don't really breathe so they're kind of shitty in the summer.
