>Socialism

I think you're confused, m8.
In my country, we are allowed to say socialism is a failure. Not many people understand how much of a luxury that is.
Denmark.
Such a socialist hell hole.
ONE
FUCKING
DOLLAR
Zimbabwe.
How was Zimbabwe in any way socialist?
Socialism has never been tried what you all refer as socialist government aren't REAL SOCIALIST per se.
The specific policies of theoretical socialism have never been tried.
>give me your farms so I can give them to other people
>not socialism
I know you can tell lies in capitalist countries.
Hell, in the USA you can lie your way to being president.
Mugabe openly described himself as a socialist in his rise to power.
So did Bernie.
Doesn't make him a socialist.
Denmark's a cool place.
Too many darkies though. As in more than zero.
No True Socialist
Just because you shoot people who disagree doesn't make it true
the ones that have never been socialist
by being the only places that have people who want socialism
Not him but anybody who says Bernie Sanders is a Socialist is just showing how little they know about Socialism itself.
And in Pinochet's Chile you would get thrown out of a helicopter for saying socialism is a good thing.
Freedom of speech isn't inherent to capitalism.
You're being raided, fyi
Oh no, you're right Bernie is a DEMOCRATIC Socialist.
Communism and capitalism are on opposite ends of a scale, and socialism seems to be a sensible in-between.
>In capitalist countries, you can climb the ladder and succeed, and have a mansion with caviar every night.
>You can also be dirt poor and starve to death.
>In a communist system, everyone gets free food, a guaranteed job, and a roof over their heads.
>Food will suck, you have to wait in lines, job will be menial, roof is leaky and has 10 other people under it. Also you can never climb the ladder unless you're a politician.
Socialism is the in-between. When conservatives bash socialism, they're really bashing communism. Pure capitalism or pure communism has never existed, just closer to one end or another of the scale. Socialist countries like Denmark or Germany (up until recently) have been doing great, while farther socialist countries like North Korea or Cuba suck.
Not as easy as people make it out to be. In America, "socialism" is the boogeyman of politics.
the US
specifically college campuses
That doesn't make him a socialist.
USSR
It lost the war of ideology.
vox.com
how about you stop slandering other countries bernie
Socialism isn't the inbetween. Socialism is what happened in the USSR.
And it was fucking awesome, get your appeals to moderation away.
>implying this already populated mostly by /pol/
this is where we come to goodpost
Doesn't matter what Denmark's prime minister says, they're a socialist country. They use taxes to pay for college and social welfare programs (which of course has leeches and downsides).
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Countries just fear calling themselves socialist. America has social security, taxes, and the military, all of which make us socialist, too.
From what I've seen this is where they come to piss their pants when they find out it isn't an echochamber like /pol/.
>America has social security, taxes, and the military, all of which make us socialist, too.
So did Pinochet's Chile. Can we agree that it's a socialist country?
No it doesn't.
you're right, I suppose we should kill the bourgeoisie now just to make sure we aren't lying to ourselves
>/pol/ is one person
>/pol/ isn't satire
Those rocks must be the Central Bank main builing.
I actually have my opinions about socialism because I've spoken with people from the Ukrainian SSR, who all told me the same thing.
They were sad that they didn't have luxuries in western Europe, but happy that they were provided with what they needed. Food, housing, government service which gave them a feeling of patriotism and purpose. When the Soviet Union collapsed and Ukraine became more or less capitalist, people couldn't cope with having to seek out prosperity for themselves. They didn't have a net to fall on. Ever wonder why mail order brides all come from former Soviet countries?
Nope.
All of them
/pol/ is not nearly edgy enough to warrent being defended as satire anymore.
It's just neoliberalism with /pol/ characteristics since Trump started running for president.
you mean when it's a liberal echochamber instead of a conservative one
I'm not a commie but I have a better question. Which country sums up the failures of capitalism best?
Not an argument
Trick question. True capitalism has never existed.
Qatar.
Great for the rich, hell on Earth for everyone else.
It might have started out as satire. But now it's filled up with retarded people who actually take it all seriously.
Whatever do you mean?
