It's pretty self-evident that working class people aren't fit to have any say in politics. Political power follows cycles, and dictators usually follow democracies when the voting citizenry start getting angry and distrustful of each other. It happened in Rome, Julius was barely cold when the big guys were fighting for control, because they could not go back to he republic. They had a taste for power.

You do realize that our infrastructure doesn't maintain itself and that until automation takes care of everything (and even then, we'll still need engineers, repairmen, programmers, etc.) there will always be a demand for manual labor, and that even if everyone in this country did "the right thing" and pursued some college degree, that there would be an over-saturation of many job markets and that many of those people with degrees would have to resort to manual labor.
