Nine seconds too late ;(

Curse this world.

Judging by how they treated their enemies in WW2, I don't think the outcome would have been very pleasant

Thank fuck we were able to stop that generation in its tracks. There was something seriously wrong with those guys.

What was so fucking wrong with them? They make the Nazis look soft as shit in comparison

The Japanese didn't genocide 6 million Jews.

They probably wouldn't take any of US proper soil, just occupy the Pacific islands.

Yea but they raped entire cities and were so batshit they were to only ones to get the nuke.

Given the opportunity they would have

What makes you say that?

They never intended to invade the US, the point of attacking the US was just to try and cripple their naval power so they couldn't interfere.

The strategy employed by the Japanese at the beginning of the war. They obviously tried to deliver the first overwhelming strike and to occupy as much soil as possible. The only reasonble explanation for this would be that they wanted to press the US for peace on Japanese terms before the US can recover and before Japan runs out of resources. But had they tried to occupy the continental US, it would mean total war where Japan wouldn't stand a chance.

nah, theyd rather trade that opportunity in for 60 million chinese

This.

Japan actually allowed Jews refuge when Germany wasn't watching.

>One platoon leader is equivalent to entire japanese army.

If you want to make that sort of generalization then everyone is both a saint, a devil, a neutral, a god, a human, a robot, etc.

That's not about mass genocide of Jews.

>Only violence against jews matters

It's the mass genocide part that matters.

They would have had thier Pacific empire. There were no grand plans for invasions of America or Australia, despite the myths. They were island hopping under the guise of liberating Asian peoples from European colonial rule, which actually lead to crimes committed against citizens of ally Germany (missionaries mostly), with the ultimate intention of replacing thier former rulers.

Japan spends the next decade fighting off insurrections in their Azn empire before collapsing and granting independence to each other.

More than Germany, Japan stood 0 chances in winning WWII. The writing was on the wall when it stalemated in China.

It doesnt apply to all of them, and there were exceptions, but there exsisted a level of sadism in Japanese conduct during the war that cannot be satisfactorily explained by culture and warrior code.

Tying merchant seamen, first, together then to the submarine that just sank them before diving to drown them. Loading dead and dying POWs into the hulls of merchant cargo ships before sailing through waters actively patroled by allied submarines. Ritualistic beheadings as a right of passage leading to inexperienced swordsmen often failing to fully decapitate the victim.

Now consider that the American General who would preside over the trials of Japanese commanders in Tokyo, leading to the executions of many, would, decades later, argue that General Westmoreland should be tried under the precidence set in WW2 for America's conduct in Vietnam.

War brings out the worst in people. But holy shit the Japanese were on some other shit.

That said, what other country's repputation has made that quick of a turn around? If I was 22 in 1941 I would have been praying not to go anywhere near that god forsaken island , and now, in 2016, Im saving up all my money to try to visit Toyko.

Memes

Japan has shown the ability to change pretty quickly

Notably was his fast industrialization.

China.

That's not why he linked it. He's trying to show Japan's own level of atrocities that they committed.

TFW you realize that if Japan had invaded mainland USA, then we wouldn't be living in such a cucked society like the one we live in today.

But you'd be cucked by the BJC and probably look like this.

It wasn't seen as actually civilized or something, but it was fashionable to love the middle east not so long ago (historically speaking).

neither did the wermacht
