Why modern united arab nation project failed?

Why modern united arab nation project failed?

because arabs are neither united or modern nation.

>Pan-THING$

This. Arabs are very tribal and they don't have the infrastructure or economic development to make the union beneficial to regional interest.

Its crazy really. Europe has less in-common then most Arab states but money talks.

I always wish Pan-Latinism or Romanism was a thing. France could have done it, if the shitty 2nd Empire didn't help Unite Italy.

Yeah, let's unite France with Romania.

Romania is a major francophile state. Why everybody gotta pick on them?

Because Arabs are uncivilized swine, gentile.

I'm watching my wallet right now, Mihai, no funny moves.

Syria and Egypt don't even share a fucking border.

Nobody wants gypsies. I understand romanians don't want them either, because I happen to know some actual ethnic romanians, but the country is plagued.

...

The Modern United Arab Nation is neither modern, nor united, nor Arab, nor a nation.

add a catholic clause and a capital in Toulouse and we can talk

>United
>Arab
>Nation

None of them are even Arab or in Arabia.

It's pretty arab, Voltaire.

This. Considering that arab as a nationality was a mistake.

...

>Romania
I don't understand how this happened.

Then why is no country in the Arabian Peninsula included?

napoleon.

Because they were too far and because he was Cairocentric

Because this was an association and the sultans of Arabian Peninsula didn't want to join

Because the only thing that has historically worked to unite the arabs is a dominant Sunni political entity in predominately Sunni lands.

Roman conquest of Dacia

they got BTFO by the Jews

>modern
>united
>nation

>religious strife between sunnis and non-sunnis muslims + muslims and nonmuslims
>CIA & friends overthrowing or trying to overthrow many secular Arab dictators
>Israel being a big impediment to their plans and a distraction
>most of the rural non-urban Arab world (and much of the urban Arab world) wants an Islamic government anyway

jews

For a while, much of Europe was Latinate.

Historical circumstance allowed one larger group of Romano-Dacians to keep their culture and language across the centuries. Eventually, post-WW1 shenanigans allowed these people to own massive amounts of clay in Eastern Europe

>post-WW1

The kingdom of Romania existed since 1881 and it's predecessor states since medieval times.

Obviously it would have to be in Rome. The city of Rome is the source of the romantic languages.

Here let me help you with that.

just like always -- major powers messing shit up

Arab =/= Arabian

The problem with pan-Arabism is that no Arab leader wants/wanted to give up power in order to facilitate pan-Arabism. Instead you have a bulk of countries which claim to be pan-Arab yet see each other as potential rivals.

Language is also a problem. I have an Iraqi friend who said that he found it very difficult to understand Egyptian Arabic whilst Libyan Arabic was like a completely different language to him.
