Not bad! I feel like it'd work best next to other patches you have, not as the main focus

I have this on my back so I'm probably going to toss it next to this. Pic not mine. Don't have one of my jacket right now.
Luke Flores
It's look best with a few other patches of a similar size, especially if they're patches of people too

I'm gonna order a Uniqlo bomber as soon as the black ones are in stock again with the intention of putting a patch or two on it. are there any other good jackets for patches for under $100? I'm poor.
Dominic Torres
just thrift
Asher Ward
Milsurp can look great, denim is vanilla but good, bombers are classic if you keep it simple, really almost anything can be used. Just depends on the patch
Jason Roberts
I don't fucking understand why there's these kind of posts in EVERY patch thread. How legitimately retarded do you have to not figure out that patches can sewed on to fucking anything.
Get some common sense, jfc.

Brother, aren't the Uniqlo Bomber's slim? If so get an oversized one (size up) I think it would look better.
Luis Jenkins
I want a good patch with Korean text (or any Asian text) on it, preferably a jacket back patch.
Any recommendations?
William Fisher
sew vs iron-on?
John Miller
I just got a small bag full of patches from the 70s and 80s. Most of them are from ski resorts in the alps. I'm not sure if I want to were them because I haven't been to any of the places. What are your opinion on that? Will post a pic later.
Evan Powell
need a good back patch, I could try to make my own but I need a design.
Jordan Smith
Always sew. Always. Even if it's just a few stitches on the corners to make sure it doesn't completely fall off. The adhesive on iron-ons is shit.
Oliver Rivera
Is putting a patch on a hoodie a bad idea? Would it rip off in the wash?
Noah Lopez
Thanks for the heads up. I'm skinny as fuck, though, so Uniqlo's small shit usually ends up being kinda baggy anyway nowadays. No more are the olden days of Uniqlo's sweatshirts fitting me like a sausage casing after one wash.
Isaac Morgan
If you sew it, no. But generally you want to avoid putting hard patches onto soft clothing. It's possible though with soft patch. Pic related, I think is a soft patch.
Jose Reed
how does one affix patches to a jacket with two layers of fabric? i have a decent collection of metal/powerviolence patches i've accumulated over the years from going to shows, wanting to support bands by buying merch, but only having enough to cop a patch, but i never got around to putting them on anything. i thrifted a nice black jacket this weekend for that purpose but am now thinking that going through both layers of fabric with a needle would make them move oddly over one another. is there a good technique to apply patches to just the outer layer of fabric on a two-layer jacket?
Asher Walker
When will it be available?
Isaac Gomez
Around two weeks? I gave production the go-ahead today. It maybe be sooner than that, I'm basing that estimate off my last order when I was having twice as many patches made
Andrew Brooks
Sew and also iron and that thing will not come off
Asher Fisher
Just looked up Uniqlo bombers just now, this pic looks slim. Idk my eyes might be shitty but I would probably size up for a oversized fit.
Liam Ortiz
To the user that posted the Eva back patch, tried to contact your friend to see if he had any more. Never got a response.
Luis Wood
Anyone know w2c something similar with another "cocktail"? Pins or patches, doesn't matter.
Evan Rodriguez
Check out an instagram account like patchgame, you'll find almost anything there
Or etsy
Cameron Sullivan
Fucking NICE user Gonna buy the fuck out of this Hope I don't get raped on shipping to the UK like I did my other patch (pic related)
John Jackson
Shipping to the UK is like $2.50
Elijah Hughes
And how long does that usually take? Couple of weeks?
Isaac Clark
It may actually be a lot faster than that since I ship in padded envelopes, in fact it'd be really helpful if you sent me an email once you got it if you order, that was I could get an idea of how long it takes to get to Europe!
Oliver Wright
*that way I could

Take patch, slap some industrial grade velcro to the back.

A computerized embroidery machine recently came into my possession and I think I'm going to try making a patch once before I decide if I should return it or not
If you're who I think you are, MAYBE I'll make you your very own 973CLUB patch

I am not who you think I am.

Hey my man I've been thinking of doing the same thing in Europe, I have a friend who can make em for me for very very cheap so I can resell online, was it difficult for you to get it started and make it work ?
Benjamin Brooks
I have not exactly made it work yet, I'm still slowly making back the money I poured into manufacturing, shipping materials, and marketing. I can tell you this though: >it will be a long time before you make a profit >you should really be in it for the fun >Veeky Forums wont work as your only place to market yourself >Instagram is a great place to market if you can break into it >most importantly, just work on finding a balance between what you want to make and what other people want to buy
Chase Morales
So i recently had a number of DEA and other police/military patches fall into my lap via a friend and im curious what i should put them on? i have an older Harley Davidson jean jacket, its got one patch on it, the american flag, do yall thing they would look good on the jacket??
Ryan Rivera
>Pin it on >Look in mirror >??? >Profit
Julian Russell
Ok thanks smart ass!
Jason Martinez
HD jacket could look cool, especially if you put a patch right over or under the flag
Have a pic of the DEA patches?
Noah Sullivan
w2c?

Thanks for the advice bro, good luck with your sales.

Thanks man! Good luck to you as well, feel free to email me or DM me on instagram if you have any more questions. I'd be happy to help!
Any thoughts on these designs or how to improve them? Open to any criticism
Isaac Foster
It's bland/doesn't stand out much, the black on grey. Maybe white for the writing? Design wise, it's good. Doesn't have too much going on.
Elijah Ward
On a screen the contrast is hard to read, but on a patch the text and drawing will be embroidered and raised, while the background is flat fabric
Logan Hernandez
I've got nothing then. Looks fine. Don't know what it's referencing if anything.
Connor Taylor

why are patches so goddamn expensive to order? i went over to my local embroider shop and she told me it was $40 for a 2x1 inch patch. why tf. do you guys own an embroider machine to make your custom patches? also, what would be the best patch to have in this hat? i've been debating for a while now
Julian Peterson
Unless you want to spend hours on each patch, a computerized embroidery machine is the only way to go and the cheapest ones are still really expensive. It's also a slower process and requires more work for each patch and design
I just recently got access to one for free though, so I'm going to give it a shot. Hopefully it will be useful for making more niche designs so I can make small batches, which it way cheaper than ordering them
Gavin Brooks
>thinks he's effay and isn't even a historian Kys, it's too late for you bub
Sebastian Myers
Now that I have a computerized embroidery machine at my disposal I can make more niche designs, if it ends up working out
Anyone like this one?
Wyatt Miller
Whoops, what happened
Aaron Price
Add this to the next OP. I've bought a wizard patch from them and some alien patch also. And a pretty cool shirt
Is there a way to apply patches to a jacket or something in a way that you can remove them without damaging/leaving residue on jacket?
James Roberts
Velcro and sewing, if the material is coarse enough that the needle holes won't show once removed. Denim would be perfect, for example
Liam Martin
Holes will show. You just have to accept that.
Julian Cruz
Speaking from experience, no they won't. I have plenty of jackets, even ones with relatively fine fabric, that I've fed needles all the way through and have no visible holes or damage at all
Ian Watson
What do you mean velcro? I have never applied patches before, I would need to like glue a velcro strip onto my jacket then buy patches that have a velcro back?
Xavier Foster
This is good advice. I've probably spent ~$280 on one pin design including all of the shipping materials and manufacturing.
Getting preorders is a good way to cover the manufacturing cost if you can garner enough interest, but I'm on my very first pin and it's definitely not a fast money maker, haha. More like slow money on the side. It's nice to see people enjoy your designs though!
Caleb Price
That's an option, yeah. You can also attach velcro coins to the patches yourself
I should have been clearer though, velcro and sewing are two separate options
