It looks fine atm without any obvious signs of thinning. You also seem to have a widow's peak which makes it harder to say. Has your hairline changed recently or does your hair seem thinner? If you think you're balding, you're and then you should get on finasteride ASAP. Keep an eye on your hairline and if it changes, act sooner rather than later because it's easier to maintain your hair than to regrow it.

It doesn't look THAT bad right now. A short crop with a fade might be his best option. In my experience, gradually cutting your hair shorter is a valid way to cope with the bald. Shaving completely right away might do a number on yr self esteeme. To each their own.

What's an hair system?

Fin is finasteride

Fin = Finasteride, requires a prescription from your doc.
Dut = Dutasteride, no doctor will prescribe this for your hair loss.
RU = RU58841, a topical anti-androgen that is pretty hard to come by. Must be ordered from some lab in China.
CB = CB-01-03, another topical anti-androgen that must be ordered from an underground lab. Pretty expensive as it is.

It's a pretty serious DHT suppressor, and the more DHT that is suppressed the greater the possibility of adverse side effects. Finasteride should be the first thing you try.

Nobody in my family started this early. Derm & endocrinologist did blood tests to rule out other losses; it's MPB. I originally though it was from Accutane, which didn't work and fucked my hair texture while on it.

Fin can sometimes take up to a year to show results, but you should probably treat aggressively since it hasn't slowed down. Add minoxidil and nizoral. If that doesn't help, I'd say either shave or get a hair system.
