If you want recs, provide as many criteria as possible: including sex, price range, seasons/weather, occasions, other frags/notes/accords you like/dislike, special conditions i.e. can easily be found in mall department stores, other ephemera i.e. personal style/aura you want to project, etc...

looking for a deo that has no to little smell, any rec?

Crystal deodorant is the stuff. Been using it for 15 years and I never stink, even after a full summertime work day. After applying, I spray my daily choice of perfume once in each armpit and once on my chest. Perfect.

thank you so much!

How is Hugo Boss No. 6? I can get it with a huge discount.

Best fragrance for a funeral? (male / unisex)

Honestly, nothing. Fragrances at a funeral is VERY risky.

Escentric 01
Eau de Toilette
by Escentric Molecules

Smells like Play-Doh.

myrrh

I swear by this shit. It's labeled uncescented, but it has a very light citrus smell when applied and is barely noticeable through the day.
Plus it doesn't make your pits reek or stain your shirts.

fug

i've got a work christmas party today. wearing black afgano, but i applied it about 2 hours prior so that it's not too stong.

How weedy does it smell?
I wore Original Vetiver today and I love the dry cannabis accord that develops about half an hour into the wear.

im not a heavy user, but i can not even smell the weed at all.
it's very watery green and oudy. a light oud, tho.

3 hours later;
smells like playdoh still but nicer

Van Cleef & Arpels pour homme.

fragrantica.com/perfume/Van-Cleef-Arpels/Van-Cleef-Arpels-pour-Homme-1100.html

Need to shave your armpits for it to be effective?

okay it actually smells pretty good, the salty playdoh scent kinda disappeared

Seconding no scent. A funeral isn't the place for any kind of flair or primping. I would consider any fragrance in bad taste in that setting. Especially a powerhouse like

No, although I do run a clipper with a 1/4" guard on my pits every so often.

Shaved pits are Veeky Forums anyway, family.

Encre Noire? Voleur de Roses?

Blind buying it today. I've been wanting it for a while now and I'm an oud kind of user.

I never get a play-doh note from Iso E Super. More of the normal cedar / pencil shavings impression for me. But this is from a bottle of Dale-style homemade stuff, not the Escentric product.

Looking for the ultimate cold weather scent, got Tuscan Leather and Dior Homme Parfum on the table so far, any other suggestions?

>YEAR TWOTHOUSAND SEVENTEEN.
>WEARING/USING PERFUME/COLOGNE.

Wonderwood or D&G The One.

>Shaved pits are Veeky Forums anyway, family.
Only if you're a twink wannabe.

Amouage Jubilation XXV
Dior Fahrenheit
Bond New Haarlem
any of several Mancera / Montale ouds

>current year
>not smelling amazing
stay pleb tripfag

Everyone's smooth these days. Just look at porn. Body hair is gross, family.

>>not smelling amazing

IT IS NOT YOU WHO "SMELLS AMAZING", BUT THE PERFUME/COLOGNE.

Do any of you wear the deodorants that are supposed to be coupled with the corresponding fragrance? If so, how many swipes do you apply to each underarm?

Tobacco Vanille
L'homme or La Nuit de L'homme
Pure Havane
Armani Code Profumo

what do you guys think of this?

smells like dads

>supposed to be coupled
>how many swipes
You might be overthinking this.

>IT IS NOT THE TRIPCODE THAT IS THE FAGGOT BUT YOU YOURSELF

What is the name of the perfume store where you write out a description of the scents you like and they'll send you samples of five different fragrances?

scent trunk?

That looks cool, but it's not the one I'm asking about. The 5 sample thing is a secondary service on a bigger fragrance store.

looking for an amber scent that makes me drown in amber

Shite, I don't think I was clear enough. For instance, I have Terre d'Hermes as both the parfum and the deodorant. However, I'm just applying one spray to the chest but about ~7 full swipes of deodorant to each underarm. I've lately been suspecting that I smell too strongly with the added deodorant, so should I just tone down how much deodorant I apply? I don't want to be walking around work smelling like a bottle of Terre d'Hermes is all.

Never having smelled the TdH deodorant, I couldn't really say. I only have 360º Red fM deodorant and I doubt it adds much. I only wear it to the gym in lieu of any fragrance. I would always err on the side of caution if you're going to be in close proximity of other people indoors. Ask people and adjust accordingly.

>23 looking for a daily winter/autumn and summer/spring. And another set for going out/parties.

I think luckyscent does that

>tfw I still enjoy Plebnel Plebellure Homme Sportpleb

TF Amber Absolute is the only answer

...

Cdg Black
Cuir de Russie
Fourreau Noir
Fille en Aiguilles
Casbah (Robert Piguet)
Korrigan

I kid you not this is legitimately what my dad used to wear.

Seconding Amber Absolute. If you can, try Stephane Humbert's O'Hira though- it's leagues richer and darker.

Also, Amber Aurea by Profumum Roma is even better, in my opinion. Sensual and perfectly balanced, though not without drowning you in a luscious amber first.

ill buy it. pls dont fuck with me here

Bought la Nuit and the first few sprays were stunning and lasted fucking hours with incredible sillage. My gf could still smell it in the car days later.

Week or two later and it's like fucking water. Only way anyone in work can smell it on me is if I fucking bathe myself in the stuff. I'm talking continuous sprays along my neck, collarbone, chest, down my arms, elbowpits and back of my neck. Even then the sillage disappears after an hour or two.

What in the actual fuck have they done to this scent?

didn't YSL water it down by 15%?

If you could only have 1 fragrance, what would it be???

The acquisition by L'Oréal is the culprit, but yes, it lasts as a close-to-skin scent on me for about two hours and then vanishes entirely, projection is at the very best an hour only, most times half of that. Hence why I wish people like would quit suggesting such a shit frag. Unless you find the pre-reformulated juice, the pricetag is not worth the cop. A quick google search gives a few suggestions for similar frags but effay knows best so please let's start giving suggestions for alternatives.

Anyone here have any experience with the Armani Privé line?
I bought Rosé D'Arabie recently and I am loving it, perhaps the most beautiful winter/evening fragrance I have tried. It smells so rich, so exclusive, that I almost feel underdressed, lol.

Any recommendations for a winter evening date fragrance?

Currently considering:
JP Gaultier Ultra Male
Van Cleef Midnight in Paris
JV Dark Rebel
& Aqva Amara

>Aqva Amara
>Winter

This, people need to stop recommending la nuit in its current form
It's just not worth the price for something that people aren't even gonna smell on you after 30 minutes
ch men prive

Thanks senpai that's the one I was looking for

Live in NYC work require a lot of moving and dealing with a fryer which means I end up smelling like oil. Can someone recommend me a fragrance?

sean john unforgivable

A shower after your shift is over?
Doubt anyone will notice your frag at McDees, but you can always try the current meme which is Sauvage.

Midnight in Paris was reformulated from what I've read so try it on before buying.
Amara isn't a winter frag.
I dislike Le Male and so Ultra was unbearable to my nose.
Not a fan of Varvatos, too synthetic to my nose.
I'll go ahead and suggest Bvlgari Man In Black for the okay opening and good drydown in my opinion, given the current reality of date frags and that you are looking at Ultra Male and Rebel which can pass as spicy sweet. I'm not fond of CH perfumes, they have this sweet note in the opening that makes me think "feminine" every time.
But it mostly depends on what you want to project. I could just as easily suggest something more formal like Armani Eau de Nuit as I can suggest Versace Eros.

Cheers, that's quite a robust breakdown, I'll try a few of the suggestions out in person and see!

>Just look at porn.
user, never go full retard.

DIOR HOME EDT or DIOR HOME INTENSE EDP

Dior Homme Parfum

DESU

Valentino Uomo Intense

Chergui
Songe d'un bois d'ete

Seconding this. More masculine, less powdery, classy as fuck iris from start to finish.

Cuir Amethyst is very nice. It smells like purple.

Christmas came early

i keep reading it has a lot of aluminum in it that will fuck your shit up

And it's longevity will surpass that of your decaying corpse

lol, how do these smell?

a handful are decent. fresh blue musk is actually really nice.

most smell cheap, though much better than axe.

I had no idea there were so many different varieties of this shit.
Someone has to ask, so it might as well be me - why?

it adds variety to my life at a low cost, i suppose. either that, or mental illness.

with that much you couldve just bought a nice fragrance
definitely leaning towards the mental illness

If you had to pick two, what do you recommend?

Im looking for a cheap (like really cheap) summer scent. What would you recommend more: nautica voyage or hugo just different?

Versace pour homme

Can ADG profumo be used as a winter scent?

>If you had to pick two, what do you recommend

fresh blue musk and most wanted

Read a comment somewhere that said Azzaro pour homme smells like Yardley's English Lavender soap. I love Yardley soap so I was wondering if this is true. Can anyone confirm? Also, thoughts on Azzaro pour homme in general? I'm thinking of blind buying.

Over here you can find Azzaro Pour Homme anywhere you go.
Think of old man's perfume.
Now multiply that a bit.
You get Azzaro Pour Homme. It's strong, definitely for older gents and might only be appreciated by your grandma. If she's already passed away, she probably still appreciates this smell.

Tried Encre Noire, L'Eau du Navigateur and Terre D'Hermes Parfum today.
Encre Noire - I love this from the bottom of my heart, but the projection on my skin seems to be a tad bad. Will search for the Sport version to see if it is more wearable in all seasons, because damn this is what I was searching for, for a long while. Scent 4/5 because of poor wearability, Sillage 2/5 with only a small spray, maybe more will bring it out more, Longevity 4/5.
Terre D'Hermes Parfum: If I had to pick a favorite out of these three I tried today, it would definitely be TDHP. It's what I would imagine rubbing a bunch of oranges on a tree trunk would smell like, the dry down is fantastic, lasts forever, is a scent I see myself wearing often when I cop this, but definitely not a frag for special occasions. Scent 5/5, Sillage 4/5, Longevity 5/5
L'Eau du Navigateur: a pirate can wear this easily; if you're not a pirate, you better be older than 35 to think of copping this one. For the time it was released, I can see this being a head turner. Today, it's a bit outdated. Interesting stuff; nonetheless, I can appreciate it for it's art. Scent 3/5 (without worrying about wearability, 4/5; perhaps a 5/5 after the drydown), Sillage 5/5, Longevity 5/5.

whats the perfect fragrance for a douchbag who drives a bmw/audi

I can only think of Aventus, since it's expensive and overrated.

Invictus

Aventus

1 milion

can a 21 y/o wear it or does it smell too "old"?

I would say it depends on your wardrobe, mostly. It's a very formal scent.

Nautica voyage
Or if you're more into citrus, go CK One. Can usually cop 200ml for ~$25

I've heard Azzaro Chrome smells similar to Ck1, is that true? Which of those two would you say is better?

On the first sniff, I barely perceived it, and thought, "Eh."
On the second, I still thought it was barely discernible and all right.
But then I suddenly fell in love with it after a few more tries. Now I'm obsessed over it. It sends raptures through me every time I put the mouilette up to my nose, not kidding. Incredible powdery, nuzzling, silvery haze of Florentine iris and myrrh. Highly recommended to try. Never has a fragrance oozed such nonchalant elegance and sophistication.

Also, I've heard from three different people on different occasions how popular it is in Paris and Italy and about nowhere else. Everyone sophisticated and elegant uses this in Paris, so I hear.

I'll list some quick details for the sake of it:

>27
>male
>live in CT, almost winter time
>wear cologne casually during the day, not so much at night
>I generally like earthy / woodsy scent
>don't like spending too much, prefer having a handful of good budget friendly colognes than one expensive fragrance (I usually go up to $50)

Anyways, I was wondering, does anyone have suggestions with a 'Christmas-y', wintery type of scent or vibe to it? Something that maybe has a hint of pine / fir, but isn't too overbearing. Some scents I already have for Winter are Burberry London, Terre d'hermes, and Baldessarini Ambre. I've tried he wood rocky Mountain, but it didn't do much for me. I like the others I mentioned well enough, but they don't meet the criteria that I'm looking for right now.

Also, maybe in addition to or just apart from what I listed, any recs for a combo of these would be nice: vanilla, patchouli, peppermint, musk

It can be, in colder weather the incense seems to come through more than the bergamot and sea notes. Still has a slight aquatic vibe though, which I personally only enjoy in the summer.

CK One. It is true, they're remarkably similar. But for me CK One is better, Chrome manages to smell more synthetic than CK.

As far as your first post, check out John Varvatos Vintage. My #1 rec would be Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguilles but then again I think it might be too piney for what you're looking for plus its on the expensive side relative to your budget (although it can be had for less that $100 online and the quality is outstanding)

Other recs for your second post
Patchouli & Musk - Narciso Rodriguez for Him, Kiehl's Original Musk
Mint & Vanilla - Cartier Roadster, Versace Eros, Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male
Vanilla & Musk - Jean Paul Gaultier Gaultier 2
