take full advantage of the zoom function (I work in the 400%-800% range) and the smallest brush size for fine details. Manipulate shading/brightness by adjusting the opacity of the color you're shading/highlighting

Those are really the biggest tips I can come up with, the rest is just talent, been drawing on paint for a while.
