If the boy was truly as aristocratic as he wants to appear his shotgun barrels would be side by side, which is the preffered way in terms of aesthetics by the people he imitates. He certainly didn't inherit it.
They also prefer the classic breeds of hunting dogs which are seldom entirely black but mostly grey/brown, often in combination with white parts. Spaniel, Drahthaar, Pointers, Bloodhound etc. Also his rainboots seem to be of inferior quality. If you know what you're doing you invest in those and buy Le Chameau.
While none of these things individually give it away the combination really strongly hints to him not being old money.
