Been wanting to embrace my gender since I finally turned 21. What are the general do's and don'ts?

Cut your own hair
Maintain physical fitness
Don't be fat
Don't be skinny
Adopt a formal, workwear, milsurp or thrift aesthetic or a mix of those
Develop personal style that represents your personal value system
Wear wool and leather
Don't wear impractical clothes or footwear
Don't pluck your eyebrows, you effeminate fucking faggot
Don't wear piercings
Get your shit tailored
Don't shave anything but your head and face

>Been wanting to embrace my gender since I finally turned 21

don't fucking talk like a gimp for starters

>don't fucking talk like a gimp for starters
Masochism can be quite masculine desu

>General masculine fashion thread
Please no

Don't wear jewelery
Don't be a metrosexual faggot like David Beckham

Y'all know that masculine doesn't mean boring, right?
Dressing well while looking like a man still looks better than dressing well while looking like a faggot.
This is a fact and the sooner you learn it, the better off you'll be.

>dressing well while looking like a faggot.
What does this even mean? I'd say menswear is the gayest aesthetic.

>Cut your own hair
What's the philosophical explanation ?

Do : buy your size
Don't : browse Veeky Forums

Autonomy seems like a pretty masculine thing.

>Develop personal style that represents your personal value system
>gives a guide on values to follow
>personal

This is why masculinity is in jeopardy. You've got all these 'red pilled' fags talking about developing themselves as individuals, using collective copy-pasted guides on how to be a man..

How can getting a haircut less autonomical ?

>gives a guide on values to follow
Those aren't values, those are styling decisions that build the framework of a masculine wardrobe in which personal values can be expressed. You could be a trapper in a beaver hat spouting the crazed ethics of Ted Kaczinsky or a yuppie in a three-piece suit and, is that a raincoat, Patrick?, following this advice.

What the fuck is a "masculine wardrobe"? Stuff that some asshole on Veeky Forums told you to wear that you shouldn't stray far from if you don't want to suddenly turn into a woman overnight?

OP, do whatever the fuck you want. That's how you be masculine.

Doing what you want is not an exclusively masculine thing, shitlord.

Thanks for saying that, why would any normale functioning male that isn't 100% a faggot pluck their eyebrows

because of insecurity?

Nor is cutting your own hair, being fit, dressing formal, having a personal style, wearing wool and leather or doing anything else in that list.

So? Neither is wearing a suit and getting a Hitler Youth haircut.

Caring about your looks =/= insecurity
Not caring about your looks =/= security

how the fuck do i cut my own hair

>all those butthurt fembois

>>all those butthurt fembois
Someone non-butthurt wouldn't make a post like this

Being interested in fashion is inherently unmanly.

>masculine clothing is limited to menswear
Whoooooooo boy

I've cut my hair for years but to be honest it's a pain in the ass, especially doing the back, and it never comes out as even as I'd like. My hair is difficult though (wavy), and needs a lot of strategic thinning to look okay. I also keep it a bit on the longer side. If you're going super short and using clippers I imagine it's much easier.

Do you have pics of masculine clothing i could use as inspo?

holy fuck this can't really be from /pol/

nice bait but masculinity is about being strong and in control of the situation. Considering that well fitting, fashionable, and expensive clothes signal that one has wealth, and the social skills required to understand fashion, it is very masculine to dress well.

Why do you need to signal anything ? Especially wealth.

It's not manly to think too hard about how you would be seen by people. Now you don't need "fashion" to know how to dress properly.

If you label it as "doing fashion" it means you're starting to take it as a hobby. Which is faggy. Not wrong but not manly. Which is okay.

Ok, not "manly" but masculine. Doing Fashion can be manly but it can't be masculine.

>self-improvement isn't manly

by your logic, getting muscular also isn't masculine by virtue of it being a vain pursuit of looking more attractive. And you are conflating effeminate concurrent fashion "trends" with established men's fashion staples- a well-fitted suit, well-fitting pants, well-fitting shirts, and proper leather shoes have not yet gone out of style in 100+ years, whereas Veeky Forums's flavor of the month aesthetic resets every six months

so are women who are into fashion masculine?

what a dumb fucking post

I think what he's trying to say is that fashion CAN be masculine

I don't think the poster you responded to doubted that, he just acknowledged the idiotic way the message was argued, as it does indeed imply that women who care about fashion should be considered masculine.

>Cut your own hair
>Get your shit tailored

Hmmm.

>Don't pluck your eyebrows, you effeminate fucking faggot
lol, post your eyebrows senpai

>pretending to be a man after reading an online tutorial
>not naturally becoming a man while learning from your father

>looking more attractive
Yeah, no. Real lumberjack plumber men wouldn't care about that. They wouldn't care about women think, and women love it when you're a big buldozer fucking them like a beast without caring about them.

And no i'm not even trying to be masculine, i'm not even pursuing women.

But i'm a man and i know that caring about your attractiveness and walk carefully and checking yourself in the mirror and following the trend is not masculine.

If you want to be masculine (i mean, if you really have to try to be masculine then you'll never be one), stop lurking Veeky Forums or ar least stop being insecure about your looks and how people will see you. Just shop at gap or american eagle or something. Stop watching runways and lookbooks, you don't need "fashion" to color coordinate.

Choose one, masculinity or fashion.

Bump

BUMP

loooool you pluck your brows

>implying I have a dad

>literally only ONE post giving an idea of how to dress masculine
Thanks for the help, guys!

Why is this? Are there just no masculine guys on Veeky Forums? Or is it impossible for masculinity to be effay?

I pluck my UNIBROW. Please tell me you do, or don't grow there, because if not you are an actual neanderthal

>implying everyone has good father or at least a good relationship with their fathers

Not him, but if you pluck your unibrow you are a weakling with no self-esteem and a disgrace to men and women with unibrows everywhere.

>women love it when you're a big buldozer fucking them like a beast without caring about them.
how do you exist

How to Dress Masculinely

Don't try too hard. You don't need boots if you're just going to class. Hugh Jackman ain't out there wearing boots all the time

Dress for the weather. Pick a masculine jacket if it's cold out, but don't wear one if its weird for the weather - people will notice.

Generally button-downs, sleeves rolled up. Nice, kinda rough, thick material, not soft dress shirts. Jeans.

Just try to emulate masculine people. Rick Grimes, any male celebrity pretty much. Yeah button downs are r/MFA tier but that's what "masculine fashion" is

Closest thing that resembles real advice ITT

First time I've ever seen it and I was national socialist before pol harbor.

What do you mean. Go to /r9k/ learn about women. If you're not that kind of guy, there will be bigger possibilities for her to cheat on you

senpai if you've ever wondered why big old manly dudes get younger women it's not because they're inconsiderate brutes
it's because they know how to eat pussy

Lmao they can't be eating pussies. Eating pussy is only for people who are insecure about their sexual performance. It's so beta.

>this fucking thread

Pathetic. All of you.

Don't give up!

What's it like having your partner cheat on you?

I don't see the connection, or at least the kind of connection that you try to point out
