Discuss techwear here.
Bicker about what techwear is and what it isn't. Post inspo, post your fits for critique, talk about media like the new Ghost in the Shell movie. Argue what phone, PC, operating system are the most aligned with techwear.

I'll dump some techwear fits from Veeky Forums to start.

convince me not to spend a retarded amount of money on this

TECHWEAR IS GENERALLY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN NONTECHWEAR, BUT JUSTLY SO; WHY WOULD ANYONE WEAR CLOTHES THAT DO NOT PROTECT AGAINST BASIC NATURAL INCLEMENCIES LIKE RAIN, WIND, OR COLD?

ALL CLOTHING, REGARDLESS OF STYLE, SHOULD AT LEAST PROTECT AGAINST THOSE THREE FACTORS; ALL CLOTHING SHOULD BE TECHNICAL; TECHWEAR SHOULD BE NORMAL, THEREFORE, THE POPULARIZATION OF TECHWEAR, AND THE SIMULTANEOUS "DEATH" OF THE "TECHWEAR NICHE", CAN ONLY BE A MOVEMENT TOWARD GENERAL FASHION IMPROVEMENT ON A GLOBAL SCALE, WHICH WOULD NATURALLY ENTAIL A LOWERING AND DIVERSIFICATION OF COSTS, AND PRICES.

BUY LESS NONTECHWEAR, BUY MORE TECHWEAR —EVEN IF THAT ENTAILS OWNING LESS ITEMS.

nah

oh i like that color. looks interesting

stone island x nike collab pieces hold their value decently at least so if it doesnt work out you shouldnt lose too much

Was pleasantly surprised this past saturday when a pair of Apparats I ordered arrived early and they are amazing, especially for someone who's normally way too broke to afford Veilance.

looks nice. what will you wear with them? im interested in more casual looks, even business casual with a techwear slant

To be honest I don't think I currently have much else to complement them with in a cool way, I'm still building a collection. I don't even have a hardshell yet, just a couple sweaters and a fleece pullover. But I think most Veilance garments are really versatile. I feel that I could wear them in a casual way like you said, but they'd also look badass in a streetwear or common techwear fit. I guess my next step is to pair them with a good hardshell. But really, outside of some formal occasions I think they can go with most anything.

whoa this is sick. what shorts?

OK. Has anything, ANYTHING at all, so far in the thread been remotely technological??

polyester is a technology

Wearing my new black leather/suede qasa today that I got for Christmas.

Currently running Slackware Linux on my personal laptop. Into sure what distro I want to try out on my other laptop but I heard Debian is a solid daily driver.

Just finished the sprawl trilogy, I really enjoy Gibson descriptive and to the point writing style. I randomly picked up patter recognition as well and just started reading that, it is great so far, I love the detail he puts in describing clothing.

if you were gonna pick one piece to build a fit/collection around, what would it be?

what kind of pants are these ?

le nose

Looks like Acronym P9-S to me

Stop posting in ALL CAPS or just stop posting altogether. Your obnoxious shitposts hurt my eyes.

any idea for somethin that looks similar without costing as much ?

If you want to build around pants
P23TS-CH or P24-S

Jacket:
Any J1 variant. J1B-S or J1A-GT are both a good place to start.
J43A-GT would also be nice if you can find one

any of the pants on here techweary enough? a couple of them look like theyre goretex but I'm concerned when ill get them theyll be awkward. looking for a step up from tapered cargos

none of those will be gore-tex but i think they can suit a techwear look. quality should be around guerrilla group levels. just cheap polyester sewn together good enough that it shouldn't fall apart while walking around, but not strong enough to exercise in or anything

oh, sorry yeah i forgot about that goretex supplier rule thing. cant say i really exercise that much or the like but that suits me fine, ill post my opinion of them in a techwear thread when i end up buying them if anyone wants

why is literally everything black? i thought this was 2017?

1k is a drama-llama

because olive is /k/milsurp and white/grey are lunarcore I guess

and bright colors make you a skier from the 90s

and black and grey always pair with black and grey

post your nose

>goretex supplier rule thing
explain pls

From what I understand, goretex's sale is fairly tightly controlled. I cant just go buy fabric from a store, I have to be a manufacturer of clothes or gear or something.

You can by Goretex fabric by the yard, if you know where to look. The rules are that you can't sell Goretex garments without passing their stringent quality guidelines, because Gore guarantees everything with their name on it.

god DAMN those are some fucking expensive pieces of clothing. Is the quality of the clothing match the price or is this just some high-end retarded baller shit?

>buying pants on taobao

jesus christ

just go to a fucking uniqlo or something

>Is the quality of the clothing match the price

no but techwear nerds will tell you that it does to justify their cost.

techwear is literally a black parka + joggers + sneakers. pretty easy mate. you can put that shit together from any number of fast fashion outlets.

This meme needs to die

what do you think goes through the head of a person who types stuff like this

you can't afford any of it anyway

fuck off
