Skincare pls help thread

Skincare pls help thread
Recently my skin has gotten worse than ever before. I have bad diet and sleep, so need 2 fix those.

What products are good? Skin gets really dry when I've used moisturiser and some rough stuff.

Considering buying a beard trimmer to cut down on razor shaving I think it's irritating my skin like fuck

>Considering buying a beard trimmer

do it. if you don't have to shave, then don't, just maintain stubble. the wahl peanut is a really good choice.

anyone know how to deal with jaundice?

D'reckon shaving is fucking skin it up?
The lights just bad I'm actually a pale Irish fucker

not OP but does anyone have experience with differin? is it good for scars / PIH

Go sit in the sun or under an incubator

no retinoid is good for either of that shit

i have no / little active breakouts anymore and am just working to reduce the appearance of red marks and scars on my face. i am assuming based on your post you are in a similar position?

anyway, i used to use differin alongside an antibiotic anti-acne medicine and that combination of medicines worked a treat in reducing active breakouts. however, in regards to reducing the appearance of scarring / red spots i am not sure differin would be effective.

from what i can gather, frequent use of broad-spectrum sunscreen is of utmost importance in regards to reducing the appearance of scars. use sunscreen daily and reapply throughout the day to avoid sun damage / darkening of scars. i just use a fairly generic 50 spf sunscreen from the pharmacy but if you do a bit of research (maybe in the skincare general) you could find some good product recommendations.

additionally, i use a paula's choice resist 2% bha exfoliant once per day, and a paula's choice resist vitamin c spot treatment for any persistent marks.

this regime in total has worked pretty well for me in reducing the appearance of scars and spots but there's no guarantee it will work for you. honestly if i were you i would ask your doctor / a dermatologist and read around a bit more widely on the web before deciding what your best options are. perhaps you could also contact the folks at skincare specialist companies (like paula's choice) and ask for specific product recommendations based on your particular situation--im sure they'd be happy to help! good luck!

Consider an acid peel, 40% Glycolic acid. A 10% TCA peel will clear up your entire face more effectively within a period of a few days, however the downtime is brutal and you'll look like a ghoul.

Have you tried to expel the dairy for a few weeks, mate?

go to a derm

We settle this once and for all. Do you use a cleanser before OR after chemical exfoliation.

I use it before

the Veeky Forums sticky says to use it after though

I do
Cleanser
Shaving
Exfoliating

Then before I go to bed I moisturizer

That's a good routine. On days where I don't chemically exfoliate but do shave, I do your routine.

Do you manual shave or use electric ?

Both depending on how long my hair is at the time I want to shave. If it is a little long, I will trim it using an electric trimmer, then shave it.

If you want to be super autistic you can pour rubbing alcohol over the razor to kill germs to prevent irritation.

what part of ireland are you from dood

25yo male, I have some little bit of acne on my face. Generally what is the best treatment to make my skin clean and clear. I have moisturizer, cleaner, and toner. Also go swimming with a sauna break afterword. That's what I'm working with. Basically in what order, how frequently should I wash my face, things like that.

Occupied 6, live in Belfast. We've got punishment shootings!

Will give it a try, just kinda sick of having shit skin

I lived in Dublin, Ireland for a year, specifically Dalkey

Try this for moisturizing.

Best one I've ever used.

I use this

Best thing i ever did for my skin was to back the fuck off. I wash my face about as often as I shower with the same hippie soap I use on my body, and go for a shea butter or goats milk soap in the winter. My bacne has disappeared too. That said, I'm in a pretty temperate area and I'm done with puberty so your mileage may vary.

Any real advice for keratosis pilaris faceii

Unironically blew over a grand on laser treatments and saw little to no improvement. It's a massive insecurity of mine; I've been starting to think it may have something to do with dairy intake. I'm just grasping at straws desu

It sucks that I havent found anything that has any sort of effect on it. Rubbing moisturizer on my cheeks ends up just making them more enflamed in my experience

> is it the shaving?
Possibly maybe partly, but it's not just that.
If you're good at precision tasks, switch to a shavette, it's a deep cleansing along with every shave, just don't cut yo face.
