Adidas is on top right now because they're making innovative and most importantly, comfortable, shoes. The Collabs help, but it's only a part of the puzzle. Nike needs to get back where they were circa 1996-2002. They used to put out so many interesting silhouettes with unique materials and technology/comfort that killed the competition. Since Knight stepped down in 04, it's been all downhill and the releases keeping them most relevant are retro designs 15-35 years old.

The closest thing they've had to a classic in the last 16 years is the Hurache 2k4 and Roshe, which is basically a neutered Presto rehash.

During the Alpha Project era, Nike was unbeatable in terms of aesthetics and performance. Now they're just complacent with their history and reputation. It's time for them to ramp up the quality and hire some designers willing to take risks again. Their new shoes have become downright boring. It's pathetic that the Presto at 17 years old looks more contemporary than 99% of their 2016/17 lineup.

they look about as bulky as any chucnky running sneaker maybe a little sleeker. not as sleek as an UB or flyknit racer but not as chunky as a pair of NB.
