Where do upper middle class people hang out? Specifically NYC?
Like where can I go to chat what other upper middle class people about our 401k allocations and cost effective annual trips to the Alps or Hawaii over pours of bourbon and scotch?
Christian Miller
Upper middle class in NYC. That exists?
Jeremiah Baker
In NYC, I consider that making 100k+ if you're single.
Michael Stewart
If you have to ask, you don't belong there.
Justin Martinez
>upper middle class >401k
Hudson Rogers
>Like where can I go to chat what other upper middle class people about our 401k allocations and cost effective annual trips to the Alps or Hawaii over pours of bourbon and scotch?
In the secret rich person meeting club that's in every major city... duh...
Didn't you get the newsletter and invitation/news about this year's...? Oh, i'm sorry you might not have been invited, sorry about that.
Jaxon White
Nope, I didn't get the invite, can you pass me one?
Evan Miller
>Look at bar websites around NYC >Go to the one where the drinks costs $20
Camden Fisher
this, or sneak in those private clubs if you rad enuff.
Tyler Stewart
Yes
Upper middle class != ultra high networth. Still have to limit the extravagance budget
Been there done that. it's not all that special - 0.01 percenter problems are a lot different than 1% problems. They talk mostly gossip about their clients and business partners.
Xavier Nguyen
The bar on top of the Standard Hotel in the meatpacking district
Owen Ross
Please point out where
The place is full of bridge and tunnel and stay-poor types who would blow a months salary on a night out in NYC just so they can post some champagne on Instagram for their birthdays
William Taylor
>tfw live in Cleveland >tfw feels like top 1% only making 60k >tfw there's nowhere I can go downtown to feel elite and bask in my success because the city is a shithole
Gabriel Myers
That's upper class.
Carter Edwards
live in trump tower
Aiden Stewart
Yeah, NYC is kinda like that- the actual upper middle class is a tiny sliver of the population between 25-35 ages. Everyone else is either just getting buy or buying Patek's
Not in a high cost of living city
Jace Mitchell
Where are you originally from? What is your career?
Kayden Hill
People in trump tower generally fall into two categories - ultra high networth and don't live there 300 days a year. Or dual income power couples- like lawyer + project manager or a specialist doctors. Spending 6k a month on a 1bdrm apartment is > upper middle class
Jason Myers
ITT boring people def not hot pls be fat someplace else thx
James Cook
Moved here from California 8 years ago. STEM - doing software for Investment banking (basically doing well with regular pay, but don't have buy a boat type bonuses)
Xavier Kelly
So you don't have any friends at work? It's been EIGHT fucking YEARS and you still don't know where to hang out? What the fuck dude
Jeremiah Ortiz
ive lived in my city my whole life theres no where to hang out
Cooper Walker
Thats just normal upper class and janitors in nyc.
1% in most states is 300 grand/year, 1% in nyc is 2.2m/year
Also, why do so many of you just desire to be wageslave yuppies? Its not the only way to yachts
And owning a yacht in nyc is good goy tier with those port costs
Easton Bennett
>friends at work
STEM + Banking = late 40's-50's Asian/Russian/Indian dudes with wife/kids and have to commute in from New Jersey/Long Island bc family.
Family in NYC mean automatic middle class unless you pull 300k a year
I'm single, early 30's.
Carter Richardson
Drop by the Upper West Side any time.
Easton Mitchell
they hang out at each others houses/condos you stupid cuck, and nobody talks about retirement plans.
go to the nicer bars to meet people if you need to, but beyond that you have to catch them at social events like fashion/car/wine/art exhibits. people only network for work in big cities so you could take your ebin knowledge of Hawaii or whatever and meet up at a seminar or competition.
>pretending to be wealthy on Veeky Forums >somehow thinks his life will get better if he just meets wealthy people give it another thought you friendless faggot.
Hunter Myers
dog parks like the one by the mayors mansion
Jaxson Brown
pffft you're just an autist bro I've literally been to nyc less than ten times and found places to hang out, absolutely pathetic
Wow. So in 8 years you literally have made zero friends in your age and social group. Sucks for you dude, I know a tonne of places to hang out but I'm in a completely different age group than you. Lol at least you have Veeky Forums
Isaiah Cruz
>STEM Be honest, you're still in school, right? Never heard someone still use that term post-grad, especially in regards to a career/industry.
Andrew Mitchell
They missed the capital part of capitalism, and continue to serve their Jew masters.
It's hard to talk people out of corporate, they see it as the only way after the media conditions them for it.
Parker Roberts
I make $200k. I hang out at home because I'm an autist who doesn't want to talk to anyone else, especially not type A personalities in the upper middle class.
Ian Gonzalez
>type A personalities i just had a flashback to 1992
Connor Diaz
Why are there people on Veeky Forums who use the phrase "wageslave"?
Ryan Nelson
because they fancy themselves savvy investors who only make money through capital gains
in ironic reality they work hourly
Ryder Sullivan
I picked up the STEM acronym from trolling this board when I have downtime at work
I accept Waveslavey in exchange for financial security and the ability to buy anything I reasonably want. Seems like a fair exchange
Josiah Morris
>top percent mostly gossip Holy shit, are you right!
I was amazed at how much fucking gossip those people bask in. I've dated a 50 y.o. guy once who was a sales manager. He was always, and I mean -always- gossiping with the waiters and paying attention to what was going on in the dinner-room at the expensive dinner places he took me to.
Not only that, all conversations I overheard were about X person's life, Y person's business, Z person's marital life...
Holy fuck.... You'd imagine rich people spend a lot of time thinking about work life, right? WRONG! They are 100% smalltalk and gossip when outside of work.
They're smart about it tho. A bad gossiper without "loyalty" gets ousted from their groups.
