depending on how strong the millitary inspiration is you could probably use some black or white sneakers, like stans, sambas, or reeboks. make sure they are beat up tho.

Possibly a Bear BA vest with snow pockets. The bear vest is standard issue in the Norwegian military, and I know some "special" units use this west for winter as its light and warm.

wool pantaloons + gaiters

to make your own pantaloons, hit up local thrift stores and get wool suit pants that are far too large for you. tailor the waist and ankle+calf to be snug, thighs will be fairly baggy.
gaiters are basically just a long strip of cloth wrapped around your legs to provide stability, minor protection, and keep unwanted material out of your boot/lacing

Flying tigers. Was a small but very famous American volunteer fighter squadron for China before the US joined the war. Many of them became aces and went on to command some of the US's most elite squadrons over the course of the war.

If that jacket is the real deal and not a souvenir rip-off, it could be worth A LOT of money. Just saying.

Also, pic is a bit misleading. The Flying Tigers reformed as the 23rd fighter group after they disbanded. The original Flying Tigers were called the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG), so see what it says on the jacket.
