Christianity also is a desert religion and its morality, from a Biblical perspective, especially New Testament, is really quite easygoing - much more so than Islam.

at first I would say, sex slaves actually require work to do. So if muslims want sex slaves, they have to join military expeditions and capture women to make them sex slaves. This of course would be productive for the Muslim state, as from conquest you get money. So extramarital sex in this case would be justified as it promotes expansion and brings in money.
