Are metal vests effay?

I'll wear mine regardless

not if you have a ton of shit... if you have a few patches and the jacket isn't a size too big like in the picture ya it would look good

I posted mine in the patches thread as well

like said, if it has few patches or a well tough out theme, they can look really good. I only wear mine to gigs, wearing one in any other setting will usually make you look like an autist.

>I posted mine in the patches thread as well
me too. Jacket has a Weakling patch on front.

Backside of my vest, Wiegedood and Noose are kind of embroidered. I wear the Bomber on a everyday basis, but the user up there is correct, vests look kind of autistic if not worn on concerts or festivals.

To be fair metal is the most autistic synchronized noise that is currently mass produced.

frontside of my vest. Ghost logo between the button holes is diy again

I won't argue with that.

unless ur a metal-vest wearing vegan cyclist qt at the coffee boutique with her pug in the basket of her vintage CCM bike

... i've said too much

gy!be patch is sick

no.
stop appropriating my cvlture fags

OP here posting my vest, back is incomplete, have to get more patches

Forgot pic

gayest thing i've ever seen

>my culture
>4 fa tabs open

I've always detested people who cover themselves in patches -- if they listen to Metal, that is. Punk gets a pass.

And I used to be huge into Metal; I just thought it looked too attention-seeking.

Scrub question: Where can I get custom made patches in the UK? The only sites I've come across seem to only do cheap business-ey "your name here" trash.

agreed, metal jackets and most metal themed clothing always comes off as a bit cheesy, punk patches tend to feel more genuine, if that makes sense?

It also doesn't help that metalheads generally dress horribly, whereas punk has a fashion element and can look really good on certain people.

Yeah, I mean I'm huge into metal and I like a lot of punk music, punk and metal go together like PB&J. I have both metal and punk patches, and if some metalheads don't like punk fuck em

somehow girls can wear them in public without looking retarded, but like 90% of this board is male, so that is a different topic.

Sure is underage in here . . . .

I don't understand your objection
Are you saying 4 tabs is too much?
Why? Whats wrong with my browsing habits?
Are you saying metal and /fa do not mix?
Do you understand anything about fashion or musical sub cultures?
What is that pic portraying?
Are you sweating cos you're dumb and hope no one notices?

Wow, double standards and admitting that punk is mad superficial.

Most punks I know are annoying edgy retards, most metal guys are cringy numales, but at least they are nice and you can have a normal conversation with them.

>what's your opinion on metal vests?
>fuck your opinion, I'm wearing it despite what you say.
this isn't the board for you, user.

>Urfaust

Hell yes

More envious of that hair desu

bumpin

Band patch-jackets will never be Veeky Forums, fact. And that's good.

Punks can be the biggest wankers on the planet if they get all iffy, metalheads are a bit more chill

my whole problem with punks, atleast here on the west coast, LA area and beaches, is that the punk scene is full of addicts/ex-addicts, and they have the personality of a turd, whereas the metal scene is full of some really cool and chatty people. I know, its not quite fair, its a generalization from about 2-3 years of partaking in both scenes, but that's my opinion. It's too bad, I really like the typical punk fashion

dried what?

a dude at my school has a really sick one. basically a white lab coat with a lot of fabric patches. but then again he often wears a fucking mlp t-shirt underneath it so idk

Punk jacket > Metal jackets

damn i work in a lab why haven't i thought of this before.

Rate/hate
I don't like your guys vests

makes me think of this dude from doo sex

looks pretty gay but cud probably be worn well. curious as to what else you wear with it?

too many studs for my taste, also no patches. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it may work for some outfits.

Black straight leg jeans. Black t shirt. Bullet belt. Engineer boots. Very homo biker style.

Are you gay?

no i just like to look like one

ichi the killer has much better inspo

Sounds hot. That would work.

band patches can be cool when applied tastefully, but yours look like you ordered them all online from the same website and ironed (lol) them on all at the same time. When you're putting patches on a jacket/vest/whatever, you want to treat it like an art piece and try and be highly original, subtle, and dynamic. Not just lay a bunch of metal bands that everyone knows on every inch of your jacket like a fucking grid. With patches, less is more. Not trying to hurt your feelings, just trying to help. Also iron-ons are gay even when sewed on. Personally I always do nice, even, diagonal stitches with dental floss.

also the cargo shorts are nah

>dental floss

gives you the smell of fresh teeth

picture from google

Nah. Wearing anything that represents something not created solely by you is not Veeky Forums. It's okay to like a band but wearing clothing with their name on it makes you look like you're just sucking their dick.

Good bands. Terrible layout. Also in my shitty opinion, too much sloppy dental floss whipstich looks immature

>metal vest
looks more like denim vest

>he listens to Ghost and Kvelertak

yea it's too much but I see the point. I use a little red stitching in my patches to mix up the look a bit. Never tried floss

red is a good contrast color, you can use cinnamon floss for this, floss is strong, but sometimes it looks ok, and sometimes it looks like shit. i usually just match the color of the band patch

Depends on how you wear it.

always wondered if rock stars sew their own stuff. I doubt it, Lemmy had a LOT of patched clothes

The first two Ghost Records are great imho. And I still like Kvelertak, but I wouldn't buy the back patch again. My vest is 5 years old by now, so there are many patches from bands I don't really listen to any more.

I know later in life he had custom clothes made for him, but back in the early days it was prolly diy

This is punk as fuck tbqh. Gives you like ten punk points. Just don't use the green mint flavored ones

Eh. It's screams oogle trianhopper posuer to me, as someone who listens to punk rock

Also I don't like the 3 different patches from each band unless it was more tribute dedicated

I've never seen someone so easily triggered

what the fuck

I have a vest too, mainly death and black metal patches. Next time I go to a thrash concert and see all the guys with vests I'll imagine they go on Veeky Forums and are concerned about how they look despite their "Who cares about clothes dude I'm not a faggot" attitude

I'm from /pol/ just checking the board out btw

That film is effay as fuck.

That Voivod patch is dope. Where'd you get it?

apparently Boy George got his mum to sew his patches for him

I assume any smart rock stars did the same

Pollack here too. I just like battle jackets in general.

>krteček

post it.

>krteček
yeah!

cumstains

I mean you wear it to concerts to show off, why not share it with like minded individuals anonymously?

they are pretentious and not particularly aesthetic

>12403971 here
I've shared mine already, I own the one with the Kvelertak and Weakling backpatch as well as the bomber with the Urfaust backpatch

i mean that towards the pollock whom you were referring to

>Ghost
decent, especially on first album. I only like a couple of songs from their later ones.
>Kverlertak
it's like black metal for normies. Who would want this?

What's the name of the band with the eye, chalice and sickle? The round one on your arm.

Urfaust, like the backpatch. I love the band ant the patch looks so good that it'd be a shame not to use it, so I've got two Urfaust patches on the jacket.

this. First album was great, with Papa Emeritus as this creepy old dude, second album was decent too, but after that one the band got shitty. Cringy fanbase, mediocre songs and the slight black metal vibe from the first record got completely lost.
Kvelertak patch is one of my older ones, got it back in 2012. I still enjoy the first two records and it's good music for partying with normie friends, so I keep it. But more for a sentimental value then the actual music.

Ghost frontman is apparently a greedy little nu male cunt

go ask in a patch thread dingus

Spotted the underage triggered libtard
>pls be a troll

yes, he is. But as the Ghost frontman he dressed up as a satanic version of the pope for the first two albums, while the rest of the band was just called 'nameless Ghouls'. They are still called nameless Ghouls, but have names now, like water and air, which is pretty fucking retarded.

>being this uptight about patches
kys

>not caring about patch placement at all
I sure hope you don't do this

It's a shame. They were really good.

Opvs Eponymovs was a great album, Infestissumam sucked and Meliora can go eat a bag of dicks.

I agree. Also I liked the if u have ghosts ep

I liked Cirice off Meliora and that's just about it. Infestissumam is uniformly meh, but better on the whole.

he is and deus in absentia is alright

Let's stop the ghost rambling and post more vests!

metal fans are extremely cringy

Putting up a bunch of their hoodies and other merch on eBay soon be on the look out

wich country and when?

My denim vest

>disorder
>all studs lined up in order

yeah, actually I liked those too. Forgot about them. Honestly ghost's not that bad in general, but the fanbase really puts me off

Yes.
Yes.

I've met a few west coast punks (They're rare on the east) and they were all pretty chill. I feel like on the East they're really try-hard, or that just might be my local scene. Which is mainly just beatdown hardcore douchers. Denver though has a solid ass scene.

soo the key to getting these to fit is to get them one size smaller?

>get a jacket that won't fit on your juicy arms
>cut your arms
>fit jacket ready for patching

I wear medium and got my jacket in medium. Just make sure, that the body part of the jacket isn't so large that you can wrap it around your body twice.

I have mine fit well. Too Baggy looks like bad
About same as t shirt size
