OMAD people how do you wake up in the morning if you don't eat breakfast?

Coffee barely works for me unless I throw a ton of sugar in there (and i'm trying to avoid simple/refined carbs in general on top of IF)

I have to take antihistamines in the morning because they make me both sleepy and unable to actually fall asleep which makes the whole thing significantly worse

Sounds like it might be best for you to eat a small amount in the morning since it helps with the meds. What do you typically have for breakfast? You could do one sustaining meal in the morning and one other meal later in the day.
Also, if you take periodic breaks from coffee, your caffeine tolerance will drop and coffee will be more effective.

Like week or two breaks I mean. Switch to green tea for these periods, and then back to coffee.

Have you considered having your single meal in the morning, then fasting whole day though your sleep into the next morning? I read some research recently that might suggest that it's more beneficial to eat big earlier rather than later anyway.

Idk if you have quorn in the USA but 4 quorn sausage rolls are only 184 calories. Good for a snack

It might be a good idea for you to eat a low calorie but fulfilling meal in the day and supplement with omega-3 pills for focus. I recommend sugar free steel cut oats with a small amount of fruit mixed in for flavor.

The thing that wakes you up in green tea is also caffeine. If caffeine already isn't working, why would you try to fight your tolerance with another drink that also has caffeine? Drink decaf instead and you'll get better results.

You're right. I go with green tea because it still has some caffeine, just significantly less. I have a hard time cutting it out completely, because it helps me start my day. Green tea is a little more gentle on the caffeine, plus it has other good qualities like antioxidants. But your point is totally valid, especially if someone is okay with going cold turkey on caffeine.

What fruits are good to snack on? Oh, and I am 187cm & 85kg with very high bodyfat%. I'm new to this thinspo stuff so any and all tips are welcome.

Apples are the best because they're low cal, high in water, and take a long time to eat thus making you feel more full. Other than that, I'm partial to berries. A cup of strawberries is kind of a lot of food but also pretty low cal and blueberries are just a god tier snack food.

I need to move out. I can't be thinspo if my dad's going to keep turning up with bags of chips or packets of biscuits. All your American food tastes like shit, you've never had to contend with a custard cream.

There's no guide for staying flexible because it means something different for everyone. Basically, eat when you need the energy, take a break from restricting when your cravings get too unbearable (this means staying at/just below maintenance cals, NOT binging), getting into a rhythm of what and when to eat over a period of time, and so on

After a week and a half I got used to no food in the AM and now I don't even want to eat.

Biggest realization intermittent fasting gave me is that eating isn't always the best way to stay satiated. If I eat breakfast, I'm hungrier and 10am than I am if I didn't eat breakfast. Now end of the day I for sure eat more in that last meal than I would if I've been eating all day, but not as much more as you might suspect.

You're less hungry because your metabolism is slowing down. You're making it harder to lose weight because your body is trying to be more efficient with its calorie and store more as fat. The way you avoid that is by eating small amounts throughout the day to keep your metabolism regulated. Don't fall for the IF meme. A regular restriction diet and exercise are all you need.

They're sugar, but a good low cal supplement for shit like candy that a lot of people end up bringing on. Also, some art very filling for the amount of calories they have, apples in particular.

I always snack, hence me being a fatso. So why not replace snickers with something healthy?

Anyone here running a DNP cycle? There's nothing that will make you lose weight faster but it's an industrial fertilizer and will kill you if you take a little too much.

If you're used to the sweetness of it, I think you'd make the shift easier if you skip snacks entirely and stay with meals only. Meals, unlike snacks, can have an almost unlimited ceremonial aspect to it, to make it indulgent and satisfactory - unlike snacks.
If you're used to it for the constant external supply of blood sugar and fear the dips in between meals, then I also suggest you skip snacking entirely and do meals only. Doesn't take long to get used to.
If this all just scares you and you're afraid it will be too cold, boring and famishing, then sure, go ahead and snack. It's true that apples aren't too bad. But when you want to see real progress, and make your exercise efforts really count, then skip the fucking snacks.
It's cutting, not bulking. Also, a neat way to prevent the urge to snack is to make sure to incorporate fibers into meals. But I bet you know that.

you should use a calorie calculator online and try to stick to a number of calories you're comfortable with (and thats effective of course) by using myfitnesspal or something. would also recommend planning meals beforehand and doing groceries only when full. If you try hardcore fasting or dieting immediately you probably won't keep it up for the long run. good luck user!

I prefer one real meal which is dinner, and a small one in the 10 o clock break at uni. Apart from that, I'm all about coffee with milk. Occasionally I get something in between, but I always plan not to have any so that if for some reason I end up having something anyway, it's okay because I made room for it, you know? Plan for 700 kcal a day so to have room for 300 unexpected.

The way I'd address it is to eat at a 600 calorie deficit for three days. Add some exercise on top of that for gravy, but unless you're running a marathon don't even count the exercise calories.

one day, u can be stationary and eat little or eat under maintenance and exercise heavily. your tdee is almost definitely 1700+ so you could probably lose more in a day if u want
