What hobbies Veeky Forums have?

what are some good motivational hobbies?

i find my self becoming lethargic of late and no motivation to do anything more than i have to. dangerous and slippery slope that leads away from success.

i really need something to get me mentally enthusiastic. or at least intellectually challanging

Lolita fashion is a good hobby to get into.

Guns are an expensive hobby, I should really start reloading to make it a bit cheaper.

I love playing guitar, singing, and writing and recording songs.

When I was younger I wanted to make a career out of it, but realized that was a pipe dream, so now it's just a fun hobby for me.

Literally everyone works out in their late teens/early 20s

Scored a fucking internship 3 years ago because I DIDNT mention lifting as my hobby at the interview. The hiring partner later told me I stood out from the crowd already because I mentioned pool as my hobby while everyone else just said fitness.

>working at a place the interviewer asks about your hobbies
so this is the face of wagecuckery

Nah.. You'll just shoot more.. Trust me...

Paleontology.

Who doesn't like dinosaurs?

I like 2hu

Might put together a custom 2hu arcade cabinet for my bar if it does well.

Doing married women, that's my main hobby.

you got my attention. can you tell me how you started?

it's a common question. interviewers know that most will lie about their hobbies but it's normally asked to see how the person would respond to a benign question in a way they perceive interesting to the person asking.
way to stand out of the crowd user!

I recently started trying to learn some parkour moves, it's kind of fun

kayaking. quadcopter flying. lots of vidyagames.

I'm not sure any are really motivational though.

Used to collect fossils as a kid, got an itch for it after inheriting a big fossil fish. Was big on marine biology too as a child. Palaeontology just sort of came to me. I stopped collecting and sort of lost interest in the subject but got back into it at Uni when i had more free time. Although, I studied economics at uni and got into consulting. Without the deadlines and such that I would have had, If I had studied geology, I was able to just look into the subject on the side and choose the parts i was most interested (I know i said dinosaurs, but the Silurian and Devonian periods interest me more desu, the chemistry rarely tickles my pickle as well.).

I also volunteer at a Museum fossil gallery and I've been on a few trips fossil hunting. Gotta be patient, and theres lots of rules and regulations that youre expected to obey but once you find one you'll find a lot more. Good opportunity to get outside as well in some neat locations.

The point is, find a topic that you find interesting and make that your hobby. Perhaps, do what I did and look at what made you happy as a kid. Was it cars? then learn the ins and outs of a car and become DIY mechanic. That sort of thing, if youre still a student then it might be easier and it deffo helps with interviews as its an interesting way to break the ice and discuss soft skills gained from it.

pic related, I don't have any specialised tools, but the clay was so soft i was able to extract these with a kitchen knife. They still need to be prepared but I've been busy of late. Theyre basically fossil oysters.
