post inspo and ask for advise to get your apartment looking fresh ~

on a related note.

I have some nice posters, but my walls are straight up concrete and I don't want to drill holes for every fucking poster I put on display. can anyone recommend a solution? I was thinking of using clips and hang them from a curtain rail that I can attach to the ceiling.

Keeping your clothes in sunkissed room.

Just moved into my new house. Inherrited from my grandpa. It was built in the 40s and I kinda want to keep that vibe going on. What could I do to my kitchen?

I used double-sided tape to put my framed posters up, works great. Just be careful if you've painted your walls because it might pull the paint off if your tape is too strong.

I can't give you advice but I gotta say that's pretty sweet. I'd like to inherit a house, maybe then I can leave this fucking broom closet.

That kitchen looks like it was remodeled in the 70's or 80's. You won't really be destroying any of the character if you just gutted it and started over

Haha dude im an 18 year old college student. Not enough cash for that. I found 5000 in the house. So 1000 into repairs. The other 4 is to furnish it

>tfw not living in a fancy effay flat with a classmate gf to study and make love with everyday and partying at weekends

Pretty much the only thing you could do is paint then. Just throw a coat of paint on everything and buy a rug to hide that tile.

>rug in kitchen
What.

Are those little baskets hanging from the ceiling full of single-serving liquor bottles?

I was talking more like what chair and table I could put. I bought a vintage first aid box to put on the wall

Just painted one room today

Yupp bottles of ouzo from back home in greece

Go for solid wooden chairs and tables, no pillows. Put a nice patterned tablecloth over the table.

pretty terriblè

spiders dropping on your face while you nap-core

Hmm got any pics? I was thinking of looking for a vinatge table like this

i would definitely go for cushioned chairs or chairs with small cushions. full wooden chairs are no fun to sit on

Something along these lines would imo fit in that style.

Hmmmm yeah im leaning towards cushioned seats.

i want to know how much that person paid for that gigantic potted plant

like, what do you even do with that when you move?

I'm finally moving out of my folk's house. I'll be sharing an apartment, and I want my room to look cool as fuck.

What do you recommend? I'm going for a comfy vibe, with warm colors and soft textures.

Since you're renting, I suggest you choose furniture that can be disassembled, folded, or is compact to begin with. You're going to move several times before you can afford to buy, make it easier on yourself.

Storage ottomans are nice. You can put things in them, sit on them, put your feet up on them. Folding chairs and drop leaf tables are also convenient for obvious reasons.

How much you can do will depend on how much space you have to work with, how much budget, and what the terms of your lease permit you to do. I suggest you remain flexible and work on the space after you've seen what your needs are from the inside of it.

I'm going to presume they moved the plant around to stage the photo. That appears to be a Fiddle Leaf Fig which requires a fuckton of direct sunlight. Then again, it is growing desperately towards the window...

great inspo brb putting together 200k for a down payment 100k for a kitchen remodel

>implying people on Veeky Forums can afford to live on their own

i think this every time i see EVERY INSPO PIC FEATURING AN EXPOSED CLOTHES RACK

this feels good
would kill for a huge industrial space with so much light and potential

This is only marginally relavant, but what are some comfy and Veeky Forums bed sheets? I'm about to buy some new sheets and I was wondering what the verdict on those are.

whats your budget my dude

framed posters? is the tape strong enough?

R8bed comfiness

In my experience it is, just make sure you use enough. Get it from a store like Lowe's or Home Depot, they make really strong tape which is used for hanging stuff on walls

I would get a white light and maybe repaint the walls

dude probably using the plastic frames with plastic clear covers and not wooden/glass

Don't use double sided tape. Command makes removeable strips just for picture hanging, they work great and can hold a couple pounds each.

too small a bed to cuddle sex, otherwise 16/20 comfy

Lo-pile rugs are fine

what is a closet: the room

I love that 'lamp', any more pictures of similar ones?

fuck closets, open rooms are way more personal and interesting
just keep your boxers and briefs somewhere safe

...

got some strong tape, the type that takes the paint off if you ever want to remove it. combined it with the clips so if I ever wanna replace the poster I can do it pretty easily
looks pretty dope imo

This is really good advice.
I wish someone had told me that when I moved out. Took me 3 years to realize on my own

this gets posted in every thread and i really dont get why

who wants to bring a chick back to their place and have a bedroom literally full of clothes. it makes you look so self-absorbed.
