Any list of brands that are ethical about their labor and such?
Not so concerned with environmental stuff or 'green' impact.

stop being a consumerist phaggot and start buying used clothing. there's plenty of old first world clothing still out there to be had.
>brands that are ethical about their labor and such
OP, why do you want to have 12 year old bangladeshi without a job? Would you rather they turn tricks on the streets, you piece of shit?
Everlane. They have great bags and high quality basics.
>Stop being a consumerist
>Buy used clothing
the device you used to post this shitty topic is filled with metals mined by some 12 year old slave in Congo
gotta start somewhere, friend
You know if those children don't have their job sewing your fits their parents sell them as sex slaves, right?
>citation needed
What do you think happens instead? Do you think they get to have a nice childhood and their first job is flipping burgers at McDonalds?
Nope. These countries are sort of in that "Oliver Twist" stage of economic development.
Go to the Philippines and the kids aren't sewing, they're blowing.
fuck off pedophile
not every corner of the world is filled with your depraved fantasies
You've no sound basis to accuse me of being a pedo, slick. It's common knowledge what happens in the Philippines.
Now I will support clothing made in the Anglosphere whenever possible, I don't care what happens to those kids in third world countries.
But I do know that the reason there are sweatshops is that is the best option those kids have going. Take the sweatshops away and they will be doing worse things.
Buy good things that last longer
Avoid trends and fast fashion
Buy only made in first world countries
are you the same fucktard who made
Yes because REAL anti-consumerists don't need clothes
But where do I find a list of brands made in the first world?
And the people who go over there to diddle to kids tell themselves it's better than the alternative which is that they starve. Do you know what exploitation means?
why do you faggots get so defensive whenever someone wants to buy clothes that didn't come from a sweatshop?
Are you that afraid of being reminded that you support slave labor?
>this is a bad thing somehow
>le edgy pedo
Im with you my dude, ppl are so hypocritical about that
thrift if you're poor. make sure its from a charity source (Salvation Army) and not purchased by weight from used clothing warehouses that is another shitty subset of abuse.
googling made in whatever 1st world country you're from should be easy to find sweat shop free stuff. some brands try being cheeky with this by still having materials made from china but assemble it at home.
> purchased by weight from used clothing warehouses that is another shitty subset of abuse
elaborate
There are many agencies that create lists of ethical brands, just look into how they rank and research them
Otherwise by law they have to put where its made in the tag, it didn't tell you where the fabric was made but it's still a good measure
If unsure just have the will power to not buy it
There are second hand stores that are for profit, I assume he's talking about these. They generally look like a charity, and place their collection bins next to those of a charity, but aren't charitable at all
Do people still care about this? I just want my clothes to be as cheap as possible, I don't care who makes it or in what kind of conditions.
Yes people still very much care about this as evidenced by this thread
>And the people who go over there to diddle to kids tell themselves it's better than the alternative which is that they starve. Do you know what exploitation means?
What's your point, chief? That people in a country I have nothing to do with should stop sucking so hard so they can feed their kids without using them as labor?
Yeah, sounds good. Nothing to do with me, though.
