Historia Civilis is best imo ngl desu lads
LINDY

It seems like the Bren and spandou thing is becoming a meme on his channel
Obviously The Great War is worth a watch.
Why does everybody hates John Green on Veeky Forums ?
Dude is fucking creepy, does he exclusively pander to teenage girls or something?
because his crash course videos are extremely revisionist.
>video about the Haitian revolution
>calls Desolee a freedom fighter and doesn't mention the literal race war Desolee started
cuz he's a cuck
What's Veeky Forums opinion on The Young Turks network?
Isn't their official stance that the Armenian Genocide didn't happen?
taking your youtube history at face value is not a very Veeky Forums thing to do
Awful. It's a biased talk show meant to entertain, critically speaking it's nothing more than an echo chamber though.
what genocide?
Because he is a low testosterone, insecure virtue signalling little cuck.
filthyfrank
not a YT channel but i rec this show to my spic bros
>youtube.com
>youtube.com
He injects his own politics into history and is a revisionist
But while I admittedly like the idea of a condensed, entry-level introduction to certain philosophies/histories, his execution is terrible imo.
His videos are also insufferably camp,
No we don't
t. unemployed loser
Jazby is pretty ok, but he's a bit all over the place.
get a fucking life
I like Langfocus. He's kind of autistic, but he has interesting things to say and can serve as a good intro for normies into linguistics. I disagree with his opinion on the link between Japanese and Korean, however.
people keep saying that but one of their main anchors is armenian and i've heard her bring it up multiple times as the 100th anniversary approached.
I watched it and Im learning Japanese, it made sense to me. What do you disagree with?
Seconding this
Academy of Ideas is like a better version of School of Life. Not perfect but actually p good for giving an introduction into philosophers and their main ideas
one reason might be that their other main host still has family in turkey if that means anything under Erdogan. On the other hand they recently did a story that seems to indirectly talk about it on germany recognising the armenian genocide.

I just don't think that the similarities between the two languages are enough to suggest a common origin. Yiddish has similarities to Hebrew, but they don't have a common origin.
...
Molyneux
... but ... they do have a common origin
Jazby was one of the best; sometimes he is the only source of youtube vids for 15th-18th century European conflicts.
Now he is just walking around Asia talking about stuff and it is ok but I unsubbed because its not even half as cool as the stuff he used to do.
Why would the Great War not be God tier? Also what is the moon one, obviously Historia Civilis is 100% based
No, they have common influences, but they don't have any more of a common origin than English and French. Yiddish is a west Germanic language.
>History
>Epic rap battles of history
How the fuck would you learn anything from rap battles? You do not need to know that Al Capone had syphilis
Freedom fighters tend to start race wars when all the blacks are enslaved
this here
Not who you're responding to but it's Lindybeige
What about Xidnaf?
Is it not correct that the Japanese are either from Korea originally? The Ainu are from the north to Hokkaido and they seem to be different to Japanese
>I find John Green's liberal take on historical phenomena to be distasteful and revisionist
Great War anyone?
>no mention of Knyght Errant
It's very possible, but genetic origin and linguistic origin are very different things. Just because many Africans speak French doesn't mean they're of the same genetic origin.
Jesus christ, you libtards cannot into basic arguments, right
Metatron is probably the most educated one.

This new guys is pretty cool. I like him
Is that him or tmost of us on Veeky Forums, it could go either way.
Skallagrim actually said he doesn't know a lot about history and all his videos are about fencing and the like. A bit unfair to put him here
In his Haitian Revolution video he basically compared modern libertarians to slave owners.
No but isnt that a ridiculous comparrison? If they did come from Korea its not crazy to think that they might share some minor bits of language, which wasnt a lot of things either. Both languages were influenced by Chinese writing and some words in Japanese still today have similar pronunciations as China. To think there might be some similarities in Korean makes sense.
Who are the two in god tier?
>Being this new
Ask a Mortician had a video on Titanic's dead that was interesting: youtube.com
wish it was longer, though, she says in the video she could have talked for an hour+. Even 20 minutes would have been better than 5.
just let Hall & Oates explain

Who's in the good tier besides The Great War?
18th century cooking and something I don't know.
There are similarities but that does not mean that they have the same origin. French and English have similarities, but very different origins.
...
>18th century cooking
Not a youtube series like the others though are they, really? They're effectively 5 minute adverts for specific products in their reenactor supply store.
Gonna need names desu
People who already know who they are don't need this chart
Not who you're responding to but I'll try and help
>Historia Civilis (this one is really good and I highly recommend it)
>Lindybeige
>Scholagladitoria

>The Great War

>Epic Rap Battles of History

>Extra Credit History (I disagree with this being so low)
What a punchable face
This
Historia Civilis
Epic History TV
Jabzy (The 4-minute history shit)
I unironically like Epic Rap Battles. It's actually got me interested in a few historical subjects that I've went on to look into in detail, and occasionally will introduce me to someone I've never heard of before (being a Yurop, I'd never heard of Frederick Douglass before it, as my most recent example)
>being introduced to historical subjects by ERB
>not knowing all of them beforehand
pleb.
But that's your perspective, I respect it.
> Only one Metatron post
>anti 2nd-amendment
>islamaphiles
>>>turks
Really fucking biased. Fox News of the left (as if hufpo wasn't enough).
Xidnaf is so great dude.
Xidnaf > langfocus (aka mongorian jew man)
