I'm not trying to make up for being a manlet, I've accepted it and don't need to be insecure. The only thing really you need with height is to get a girlfriend and I have 1 right now. Also grew in the last few months and riddled with growing pains.

They'll definitely make you look shorter/more squat, but that's not always a bad thing. Plenty of smaller guys wear them and pull them off

Dickies are shit tho, the fabric is stiff as dick and only the logo on the back looks good, the fits look average. Go to uniqlo and get a pair with complementary hemming service.

Should of mentioned I skate too so want a good strong material.
Uniqlo have weird sizings. I take a 30/30 and the chinos that look good are 30/34 despite the hemming.

they don't loosen up. think 874s have a smaller waist than others like the 873 for example, because they're meant to be worn higher on the waist (high rise)

im a 28 waist and i went for a 30 but they are a little loose still so go a size up maybe otherwise they are uncomfortable

I am 5'10 and tried those. They were wider than pics make them out to be. I ended up getting black 850 slim tapered, looks more like your pic related.
