Can battle-jackets be effay?

Can battle-jackets be effay?

vests no, jackets yes. Metal no, punk yes.

Just metal apparel and the whole metal look in general is a no go. Metal heads are the least Veeky Forums group on earth.

FPBP

>Metal heads are the least Veeky Forums group on earth.

I wouldn't necessarily say that, but the Metalheads who cover themselves in patches are.

I like the typical oldschool outfit of tight jeans, high-tops, a T-shirt -- usually not related to Metal -- and maybe a leather jacket NOT covered in patches and other assorted shit.

Is quite right, however.

bumpppppppppppppp

Very FA when done correctly. A lot of metalheads are greasy, sure, but you will find some very fashionable people at shows.

literally the ramones

why....hello der

battle jackets, for people who are too inbred and unfit to ever really be in anything even remotely close to a "battle" with the exception of wading hordes of fat sweaty bully victims in their favorite talentless sludge metal band's pit

If you dont go overboard with patches

A lot of metal (and all stoner metal) comes directly from punk.

just don't wear them outside of concerts/festivals

This
wear them at the right events and they are good

If you don't have that many patches in it then yeah, I wear mine from time to time when going out at night and some people have told me how cool it looks, plus it's always a good conversation starter for girls I've found.

Pic related is not mine but it looks like it.

is he a racist ?

He has always stayed away from politics and all that shit, but he most likely is one

i mean yeah, of course, european metal people are.

Old school metal outfits are great. It's unfortunate that most metalheads today always wear an ill-fitting t-shirt, surplus army cargos and a beer belly.
Was at a festival this weekend and there were some very good outfits but they were very rare.

He told in an interview that he tends to go through phases, the entire jibjab with the "Norwegian Aryan Black Metal"-addition to the back cover of Transylvanian Hunger is an example of one. As far as I know, he hasn't said much stuff about his beliefs on race or anything. He might be a racist, or he may not.

here's mine

scratch made patches, printed using a friend's t-shirt printer kit

and back

step aside, amateur

if he steps in a puddle, he's fucked

awful

I did an old black denim up a while ago for a Lost Boys halloween costume. I have a white denim now but idk what to do with it.

Nice Sunn O))) and Bongripper patches. I just saw Sunn O))) recently, fantastic live show as always.

Here's my jacket.

I'd wear one with like, Coldplay and The Fray patches and shit on it.

>Coldplay

I agree, it's a great conversation starter from my experience. I've met a lot of friends through them coming up and commenting on my jacket.

I also have a lab coat (pictured) that I wear to metal festivals (mostly Maryland Deathfest). I have people buy me beer, smoke me out, and in general just come up to me and start conversations. I'm a pretty shy person when it comes to just walking up and initiating a conversation, so it's nice to have people do that for me when I'm in the coat.

I have a FB page called The Metalhead Medic, so it's sort of my "persona". Thoughts?

neat idea dude, obviously i'd never wear it in a traditional setting, only at fests or parties, but looks cool. I kind of had an idea for something similar with a Hi-Vis jacket, you can get them custom printed, always wanted to make like a battle jacket style version of one of those

absolute shit, please get a backpatch

Backpatches are dumb. I'd rather have a bunch of different bands on my jacket than like 3 big ones.

cringe

>having fun at a festival where people where costumes regularly is cringe

yeah, this

>conan-horseback battle hammer
great taste dude

this jacket is so fucking raw holy shit

I'll be an art teacher in a few months and have already thought about getting a coat like that. Looks neat.

How bout this?

>literally the ramones
what he listed is just the stereotypical 80's thrash starter kit

I don't like spikes personally, some do but I think they kind of ruin it
