The deciding piece of information was that she was on the phone with him while he was gassing himself. No one knows what they might have been talking about during the call but it's very safe to assume that she was still encouraging him to kill himself. She didn't even alert his family or emergency services afterwards.

Her Lawyer's defense was that she wasn't mentally healthy herself but no one is so ill that they can coach someone through a suicide, listen to them die over the phone and wait until the body is discovered before making all of those sappy tweets about it. The crazy thing is that they were just causal friends, they had only met each other twice.

She wasn't in prison and still isn't. From what I understand she's on probation until her appeal gets denied or granted. I guess if her appeal is denied she obviously has to go to prison for 15 months.
