Chino thread

discuss chinos. I think they are a great alternative to jeans.
Since the trend of skinny jeans is going away, wide chinos like dickies are especially great and trendy.

are dickies trendy? lol

i've read a few articles about them being worn by lots of people in new york, i see them on instagram every now and then, they even get discussed on here

what do you think about those?

>Since the trend of skinny jeans is going away

I don't get this meme. You don't wear skinny jeans to be part of a trend, you wear skinny jeans because they fit on you. When you're thin and tall wearing straight jeans or whatever shitty poorly tailored chinos is the guarantee to look like a parachute or a literal grown up baby who can't into clothing size.

You wear slim or skinny jeans to compliment your legs and general silhouette you fucking retard. Therefore nothing is going away in fact the only thing that should go away is your shitty threads and your ill fitting chinos, just look at your picture for fucks sake.

idk if you mixed up slim and skinny jeans, but skinny jeans are mostly a trend and that trend is going away.

There are chinos that are very wide but there are also chinos that are not. stop defending skinny jeans and start discussing chinos in this thread

post inspo

...

...

they were. theyre on their way out

...

this shit is top fucking cringe. jesus christ. the dickies and condom beanie shit is so played out.

not sure how basics are played out

Where do you live for this to be classified as played out?

walk around soho for 15 minutes or go to any skatepark and see the lemmings that look like a stock character design copy and pasted over and over

...

Don't live in a big city so its not as "played out" here. Like I said its just basics for skating because its comfortable. Nothing more nothing less

which dickie model is that? looks slimmer than the standard version.

...

skinny straights I think. that or they're really tailored

thx mate but try not to repost some of your dickies inspo too much or too often, other than that nice inspo desu

i-i was hoping people wouldnt notice but im done for now

where do you live mate? can't really remember that they were a thing in germany

I WONT WEAR ANYTHING THAT'S POPULAR BECAUSE IT'S POPULAR AND THAT'S A FACTOR INTO WHETHER OR NOT I LIKE SOMETHING

child

this mini shoulder bag trend has got to go already

yeah I don't like it either, but i posted the picture because of the pants.

Literally no one wears them here. Only hood mexicans.

dickies are comfortable for skating and beanie keeps hair out of your eyes you fucking sperg. quit projecting

bump

People assume your are in a gang for wearing them where I live. Same with Nike Cortez. Someone was shot for just wearing them.

i bought my first pair of dickies and they feel like cardboard
do I have to break them in and will they get softer in the wash

Sean Pablo is easily one of the most FA skaters of all time.

>When you're thin and tall wearing straight jeans
when you size properly this doesn't happen

most people who say this have either never worn their actual pant size or regular fit clothing in general

Anyone know fast fashion places to get straight/regular fit pants like this (UK)? Places like H&M only do skinny trash

do Dickies not exist in UK or something

literally anywhere relevant mr. flyover state

They do but I skate so I don't wanna spend that much and fuck them up, that's why I said fast fashion

lol don't bother with fast fashion just buy from vintage stores (online or otherwise)

Don't know how you guys think skating in chinos is comfy.

>Since the trend of skinny jeans is going away.
With that sentence alone I know that your mother still dresses you.

what shoes are those again?

raf velcro lows

not that user but skaters in vancouver/montreal/toronto have been wearing them for over a year.

So because one specific subculture in 3 specific cities wore one specific clothing item a year ago, it's going out of style everywhere in the world? I must have misunderstood you because this sounds really stupid.
Hasn't even properly started across the atlantic

skinnies ARE going out of trend, they have been trendy for years now, people between the ages of 5-30 wore them for multiple years now and now they are just overplayed.

I got a pair of these Red Kap work pants from a resale shop for like a dollar and they're actually pretty great. Straight leg but not baggy and a high waist. Plus they're like $16 new so not bad. I sort of wish they were slimmer because I'm more used to that fit, but I don't want to mess around with altering them since they have such a hard crease.

>when you size properly this doesn't happen

Absolute bullshit. Straight jeans are made to have some "room", it's how the cut is made. Even if you size properly a lanklet will look like shit in them.

yeah, because normie fast fashion like h&m aren't objectively nothing but laggard skinny fit pants lmao

where should I buy chinos in europe?
Gonna try skinny straight and standard dickies on, but if i want more, where should i look?

last bump for americans

i have a pair of Left Field chinos and I love them. Best fitting pants I own and yes a good alternative to jeans. Left Field pants tend to have a higher rise than most other brands I try which I really like.

I find them conversation for carrying phones/wallet/railcards/whatever when wearing light fits, since stuffing them down my trouser pockets is uncomfortable (especially for sitting)

I have two pairs and one pair of black slim jeans. Is that enough? How many pants do you need?

Two pairs of chinos*

explain these guys skinny af and still look remarkable in 874s

your legs aren't supposed to always completely fill out your pants lmao

Dickies became a thing in skateboarding literally three years ago because of their durability. I wore them in my freshman year of highschool. The new thing is baggy pants and cargos

If you actually skate dickies are perfect because they are cheap and durable... literally like 30 bucks on amazon tops.

Enough to be a dick-riding trendhopper.

Fashion can easily be defined as mass-market trendhopping. You don't get it do you? I'm actually gay by the way :^)

>three years ago
>not realizing it was actually 32 years ago

does anyone know what this jacket is called?

Id rather not crush my balls 24/7 thank you very much. With chinos im comfy and i look good

Harrington style jacket I think

>new thing

Fuck I hate you teeny tots

ty

Olive green chinos: Yay or nay?

Does anybody make something like Dickies except with a button fly?

You must be extremely young and have never actually seen how styles cycle. Skinny jeans are a (dying) trend.

chinos like in OP's pic are literally never coming back, though

what about

You don't understand fashion and how fashion cycles if you truly believe that.

wtf are you talking about
that's easily the most common and basic style of them all

how old are you

Those are already in style. This board is fucking clueless.

fat leg general

>the concept of wearing wide pants is so outlandish to me that i feel the need to shitpost

Says the nigger shitposting for weeks about how skinny jeans are "out" and chinos are "in" without rest.

Not even American m8, wasn't being rude.

>conversation
you mean conventional right? and I agree, bulky pockets suck so I love my shoulder bag.

>literally a thread about following trends with no shame.

>stop wearing trendy clothes

kk gonna wear skinny jeans then

I'm now fit enough to wear slim fitting jeans, not skinny, but just tappered to a slim fit. Are these still acceptable? I've lost some weight and getting over a breakup so I've been trying to dress a bit better. Interested in these chinos too, I'm used to wearing hiking shorts and "I have given up shirts".

Go watch some skate videos from the early 90s and get back to me m8

what do you suggest instead?

Anyone?

you don't "need" more than 2 pairs of jeans, you need as many as you want wtf

Are light gray chino fine for business casual?

no. chinos too pointy. bag does not match.
