Play bovada microstakes. You can buy in for like $5 bucks.

888 poker

>when you only play rake-free games
>when your win rate shot up a ridiculous amount

Honestly, at the smallest live games you can find, if you can play regularly, and are actually good at the game, clearing a low six figures isn't out of the question. I was making ~10k a month playing at illegal home games with exorbitant rake. Then again, I'm kind of a freak of nature.

Downside is that after a while, you get known to be a shark, and people will stop inviting you to their games, or people will just cash out at the sight of you. Then there's the people who want to rob you.

Finally a poker thread, obviously pokerstars is still the best unless you happen to be in a country with impinged freedoms but I can't imagine that's the case.

>amaya is a good company for the poker community

I mean, it's like you don't even know the history behind the guys who run the show.

do tell

google is broken

If you are can handle it live poker is actually MUCH easier to crush then online poker but if you don't have a poker face or happen to be a total sperg then online is the way to go.

Start off with freerolls if possible or the lowest buy-in stuff.

There are a LOT of poker clients out there but I usually go with ACR and Bovada since Pokerstars isn't available in my area.

Cash games and tournaments require completely different strategies.

There is a lot of poker knowledge on youtube and in twitch streams.

Make sure you do your reading before playing. There's a lot that needs to be read regarding betting strategy pre-flop, hand strength based on position etc.
Don't play free tables, you'll learn nothing from shitters going all-in every hand. Even the 2c/5c tables are an ok place to start out as every pot is worth a couple dollars.

i believe the people running amaya were the same people that ran cake poker? or maybe it was partypoker? but there's a lot of speculation that they are connected to the greek mafia. i read about this quite a while ago on 2+2 so you might wanna search there

Do I care? They pay me out, have the fullest cash tables and most software is designed for pokerstars.

>pay me out

Have you hear the news surrounding their board of directors?

They also have the most bots, colluders, VPN sellers, and whatever else there is. i know someone that pays to be able to play from cali. when he plays, everyone thinks it's someone else, but then they start to realize, this isn't the same guy.

None of that has convinced me to stop playing with them, there is a reason they have about a 60% market share.

What if i wanted to do this in vegas, would the competition be too high?

could be as vegas would have the world class players
though, if you're playing under 2/5, you'll run into a lot of weak regs i hear.

i also hear comps are getting cut 50% in a lot of the casinos

>bots

where can i get in on this shit?

MIT
no joke

So the only people who have bots are genius MIT grads who developed them themselves? Is that what you're saying?

He seems like a bit of a mentalist desu, no bots can play nlh that well, there are a few passable at 1/2 2/5 level but most sites are bordering on scams.

What about pot limit bots? ive heard thats the best place to be botting.

Play on Unibet, especially the 25€ heads up, only fishs coming for one or two game and getting away

Most of those bookmakers play on the ipoker network, they're just skins. You can take the risk I guess, best just botting betfair trades with no risk of having your withdrawals blocked through account closure.

No. The best bots have been made by mit. There are others but not any good

ITT : everybody could beat phil elmuth or some shit.

Don't be a fucktard like these anons, instead of investing in stock like a pussy you can give money to pro players and take a generally decent cut at the prize they win.
that is the only way to do real money in that overpopulated and quite frankly dumb game
