literally anything other than that cancer

fucking kill yourself

>I hate anything with bright colors because they remind me of my repressed gay sexuality

Well I suppose they handled the last one pretty well.

They didn't fall for the "MUH SO TOLERANT AND MULTICULTURAL ISLAMIC CONTROLLED SPAIN" myth.

I think they failed to mention the mistreatment of Christian pilgrims by the Seljuk Turks, but besides that they're great.

Crash Course History

3-minute history by Jabzy.

The bait has been set

Now we wait

this

>Crash Course History

Tell me, why does he paint the globe?

How do I get non-revisionist Veeky Forums content, friends?

Meh those who got accused for being islamic apologist tend to be not (for most of the time) yet accusers are almost always "christians dindu nuffin they go to church" crowd.

Had someone here who justified the massacre of muslims and jews because somehow the average pissant muslim and kike has something to do with the Almovads who conquered spain centuries ago.

>revisionist
Found the commie

With a time machine

>Meh those who got accused for being islamic apologist tend to be not
You say when defending someone who's not being accused of being an Islamic apologist.

Now try and pretend John Green has no biases when he salivates over every chance he gets to mentions Greek slavery and his only video about the Ottomans is one praising them for MUH VIBRANT CULTURE.

/thread

Killing Jews and Muslims is okay
And you can't prove me wrong

>I project overly detailed insults

So was killing Christians, what is your point?

Stop being a butthurt kike then

Greek slavery is pretty different from conteporary slavery. So if lines are drawn in that way, it'd be unfair. I've said before here that John Green is incredibly selective as to what he applies moral relativism to.

But Ancient Greece also gets railroaded into a WE WUZ (flawless, ripped philosopher kings of our own destiny) narrative by European nationalists all the goddamn time. So I'm glad that it's at least present as a counter-narrative to that retardation.

>counter-narrative
Onemight even argue that kind of the point of Crach Course. Shit doesn't he even open the one about the Mongols with a statement that they'd like to paint a different picture of them than mindless brutal barbarians?
Admittedly it's a bit problematic in a show that claims to be a 'crash course' (a first look into things) but this kind of discourse of counter-narratives is established and frankly the day-to-day work in 'professional' history.

If it's short-form, it's not history.

Yeah, if there's one thing John Green harps about that's totally a counter narrative to what we learn in American schools, it's slavery. Such a counter-narrative to devote an entire video to the horrors of the Atlantic slave trade while reminding us how very serious slavery is. I've never heard anything like that in a classroom before.

Literally this.

Point taken, I won't deny there is a certain bias to it, but I still stand by the point that the majority is a counter-narrative to at least how it's portraied in Movies, not so much classrooms. What I'm trying to say is that a counter-narrative is always relative. But yeah on delicate topics like that they usually play it safe, I'll give you that.

>They didn't fall for the "MUH SO TOLERANT AND MULTICULTURAL ISLAMIC CONTROLLED SPAIN" myth.

James (the guy who does the show) has been very careful about appearing too 'SJW' for a lack of a better term after he got caught with his pants down.

Whatever this guy makes

Now you are sort of implying there isn't an equally strong or maybe even stronger force pushing for that medievival Muslim civilization was wonderful and flawless and was brought down by the crusades.

Kill yourself

>after he got caught with his pants down
What? Is there some drama about his channel I'm missing out on that would make what you said just make sense?

>How do I get Non-revisionist history

You canĀ“t.

It was in relation to the gamergate thing. He lied about a cancer patient during some panel, got a shit ton of flack for it and he kinda just ignored it and moved on.

It's essentially just youtuber drama but he hasn't done almost any political etc stuff after that.

>Lying about something as a famous Youtuber
Do they expect none for some reason ever will found out about it or what?

Isn't it kind of misleading to paint the channel with millions of views whose videos get frequently shown in highschool and (god forbid) university classes as counter-narrative?

Greetings, noble ones. This is Metatron speaking.

>short-form
No!

bottom of the barrel trash for teenage posers so they can go to reddit and pretend their experts

read a fucking book if you want to learn history

Not the same guy, but equally as informative.

Would you consider The Great War short form? Episodes last 10 minutes on average but the series is intended to run for four years

I heard it was intended to over in couple of month.

>Isn't it kind of misleading to paint the channel with millions of views whose videos get frequently shown in highschool and (god forbid) university classes as counter-narrative?

No, it's counter-narrative

How exactly is something counter narrative when it allings perfectly well with your ideology?
Isn't that just pushing for your own narrative, whenever it's possitive or not?
I wouldn't say a neonazi gives some counter narrative just because he gives a different version of ww2.

Why the fuck would you get your history from people who make videos about video games?

>posers
>their
Kill yourself, you illiterate subhuman.
